EPIC final 20 laps.

Happy for Frosty , so many times in the past he's softed out....not today

Reckon it was. Even better than '11 & 12.

Don't know about that move by Whincup on the last lap, even if he made it around the outside, two cars don't fit in the approach to the cutting. Ambrose and Murphy learnt that in '05.

Below is what Whincup was betting on.

Would have preferred to see Lowndes two places higher, but glad to see Frosty (and Steve) win, they fought hard. I think it's cool that Frosty and Whincup have been together since Karts, it's an awesome rivalry.

Thought I'd give this a watch, is every V8 race that good?! Well worth staying up for!

Not every race, but most of them are pretty good when Whincup isn't dominating. Certainly my favorite racing series in the world. Nothing else comes close for me.

Internet died with 2 laps remaining, so i missed the finish. >:(

Congrats to Frosty and Richards though, they deserved it. That whole race was awesome, but those final 20 odd laps were the best racing ive ever seen. Just awesome. This is surely the best series in the world ATM.

T8 pretty much handed Ekstrom and Priaulx Whincups car, just re-wrapped. Imagine what the GTA drivers can do when the Altimas get more power. All Im going to do is usw this track when I get GT6. Almost finished recording, looks like Webber lost 1st place and my Mercedes crew are done(as far as Ive read).

Interesting info feom Nissan, they know where they need to do next, power wise is fine. Qhwn they are doing 200kmh, theyre hitting a brick wall. So, now they will work on aerodynamics. A statement to be on the podium next year.

Must say that the majority of the race this year wasn't terribly interesting, though Murph's crash came with a lot of disappointment, he was really going for a top run this year, and that little mistake cost it all. The last 20 laps were definitely the best of the race. It would have been pretty good if Lowndes and Tander has gotten past Bright earlier. He held them back for so long. Congrats to Mark and Steve for the win.

XBOX One car gets a top 10.

When it comes to the XBox One car, I feared for the spectators with the view that it was probably spying on them. :p (yes, I know... Bad joke, not really necessary, but still. Pretty good considering it was driven by two drivers with little experience at the track).

Looks like I will be watching V8Superview reair of this race sometime this week. Congrats to Frosty and Richo! :D

Phenomenal finish to the race, even if my mate's Sky box decided it didn't want to be a decoder any more and we had to resort to pigboy's stream for the last dozen laps. Excellent race overall, only two safety cars!

Gee, what a race. So happy to see Frosty get a very overdue Bathurst win. also great to see Scotty Pye (even though i hate Paul Morris), Scotty Mac and the Xbox guys get good results.

What a race!!!!

PRIAULX WANTS A V8 SUPERCAR DRIVE

http://www.speedcafe.com/2013/10/13/priaulx-sets-sights-full-time-v8-drive/
English driver Andy Priaulx says he would be crazy to pass up a full-time opportunity in V8 Supercars following his robust top 10 finish at Bathurst.Priaulx has endured a difficult season in the DTM championship this year and has indicated that he intends to sit down with BMW to evaluate his options. The 40-year-old admits that V8 Supercars has always been a career option even during his peak in the World Touring Car Championship where he has won three titles.“I’m currently looking around for next year. Obviously BMW are going to talk to me at some point,” Priaulx said after finishing 10th with Mattias Ekstrom in the Xbox One Racing Commodore at Bathurst.“V8 Supercars has always been on my radar otherwise I would keep coming back. I love it down here.“It’s probably one of the best places in the world to live and one of the best championships at the moment in touring car racing.“I’d be crazy not to try and come down here and have a few years racing.“But I’ve got to sit down with BMW and see what my future is with them and see what my options are in the next couple of weeks.

There were some amazing battles all day! Frosty drove his heart out on that last stint which was great to see.

I wish HRT had finished on the podium but Lowndes is ok with me!

Pye surprirsed me, and Xbox One did to finishing as high as they did.

Yeah, to be honest I was quite bored of it in the middle with the lack of safety cars compressing the field, it looked like it was going to be Whincup/Dumbrell -------> everyone else 20+ seconds behind them. Thank god it came alive in the last 40 odd laps. Phenomenal race in the end.

Its the ads and coverage that make it a bit sleepy. There were plenty of battles down the order. Instead of having Crompton on Mountain Straight trying to guess where cars brake, they should have focused on the racing of Erebus and Nisaan a bit more. If it was sooooo important for Nissan returning and Mercedes, hthey should have showed the #4 more.

As Erebus mentioned, the extra 15 seconds they spent filling up, cost them 8th place. They were only 50 seconds behind Winterbottom at the end. Subract that 15 seconds and top 10 was theirs.

I wonder if Priaulx has that much pull to get BMW in the series. If Erebus get a win and Volvo get a podium next year, that would look good. Maybe Mattias would have more luck bringing Audi to BJR? :)

Im more scared if Roland Dane snatches them up in 2 XBOX Commodores.

Oh, and Congratulations to Will Davison for finishing as well! Thought he'd be quicker.

Good racing - as with Spacegoat, I thought it would be Whincup with daylight till the rest, but hats off the FPR and Frosty. It was a well earned win, holding off pressure like that for the duration of that last stint, especially the start of it when RBR seemed to be quicker.

The sport needed a FPR win, and it got it.

Stupid Tander being stupid again - ruining his and Bright's podium chances. Great result for the XBox car, but a pity for Erebus and a disappointing weekend for Nissan.

I wish 7 would improve the commentary team. I almost changed the channel when one of the idiots described JW's failed overtake on the last lap as "going for one of the greatest overtakes in history"...

That would be Matthew White I'm guessing. He really has no idea. Just a typical Channel 7 🤬 presenter.

I agree, viewers like myself who only really watch the one race a year it would have been nice to see some more of the new contenders.

!

Also, a little disappointed that McLaughlin/Perkins could only manage to finish eighth. Don't get me wrong eighth is a very, very good result especially considering it's only McLaughlin's second Bathurst, but with so much talk about that pairing prior to the race. I guess, I expected a little more from them.

I'm sure manufacturers and sponsors watching would be a bit upset theyre not getring the exposure like the lead teams. Makes think, no wonder they always go to commercial break to pay the bills. It's not a priority for 7 to give away free advertising.

This race left many teams scratching their heads. Like LDM in the top 10? The commentators didnt give a hoot until 10laps to go.

No commercial breaks on the live stream FTW. :sly:

I didn't even notice until the commentators mentioned it, way too enthralled with the battles up front. Seriously great result for them. 👍

Only when it works though, eh? :p :sly:

The mountain needs to pull their heads in, the security were more idiots then ever most of them boat jumpers, stupid rules about marking out or tarping up spots and alike yet the rubbish left and little chair holes are more of a danger just because some fat woman wasn't watching what she was doing, not letting people into the track unless they have tickets at night when the day is well and truly over wearing those stupid over 18 wristbands is a joke if you can't tell I am over 18 you need some glasses, should be for under 18 only. And looks like next year will be worse extending that grandstand up to the corner pretty much saying f you to the fans that on the ground cause we won't / don't want to pay the ticket for the grandstand. And I see the merchandise alley is getting less and less each year soon it will be all self serve online shot that you will get sent out in the mail or some retarded thing. But other then that good race and people.

Im still going to go next year for the first time, since coming to Oz. Thats a shame about the merchandise. Its the same for the AGP. NISMO had the most gear there and HRT had a good booth. The shirts do cost a bit and I read Betty was halving the prices on shirts at Bathurst. I think I may go to the Phillip Island round.

Talk about a wall of text. And as for the bold part... No. Just no. Think about it for a second. Kids would just take them off.

the thing is everyone had either over 18 or under 18 and you had to have it on at all times no wrist band no entry so really the kids tickets become null and void without the wrist band. But yeah little petty things that annoyed me haha when I am settle I will put up a post with proper grammar and paragraphs from the computer
