Yo steve, you promised us that VDC 2 will be full of custom tracks and Grand Valley Speedway was the only exception because VDC 1 ended before we do the round on it and its a too good section to be left out ...
I do like that section of tsukuba ( where I always stick on in Lobbies lol) but man ... tsukuba is just boring ...
I dont mean to give bad feedback or act like its my decision but this is what i want:
I would really love to see the rest of the rounds being done on sections of custom made tracks (i.e. TRACK EDITOR ONES) and are composed of technical slow with high angle corners + elevations, you can make a track or jimmy does since you're competing (idc who makes it) and share it from now till the day of the event so that all can save it and practice on it.
I would say I've got plenty of good tracks with awesome sections but I know most will object to this and say I know the sections more than others do so i'll just leave it at that.

Simple, spank make a good track. Then upload it online on gt5. Other people can use it and it would all be fun! Or better yet lets use someone others track and lets all download it! yay :D
 
I have a lot of tracks ive generated and downloaded from the GTP touge league Legends of the Streets if you all want to check some of em out, id be glad to share. several have some great spots for 3-5 corner runs.
Or, just hit me up on there and i can host a room, and you all can check out the whole track and see if you like anything, if not, i will load up another one, and you can scout it.

i will check em all out tonight to see if anything stands out and strikes me as next ebisu or something lol

Messing about on Tsukaba with King and Krit last night, it actually does work!

Just change the CP4 from the outside to the inside on the tear-drop as the outside clip just takes far too much speed off and makes for an awkward line out of the tear-drop (although Krit was able to do both lines very well in his 350!)

Use CP5 as a transition point then and continue out to the outside clips for 6 and 7 again as before.



Obviously if we find a better track from the editor, it would be great but I wouldn't rule Tsukaba out if we don't as we could also just use the D1 line which is pretty good anyway

I'd like to see nice complex tracks from the track editor but I'd also like to try do real tracks as much as we can too as it makes things alittle more realistic...especially for those of us who drift in real life.

Some very nice lines I can think of from real tracks in the game would be the start of Nurburg GP track, Fugi, parts of Indy and Daytona and Suzuka obviously.

I don't know what tracks you used in Season 1 though so maybe all those have already been done.

I even managed a decent run in my 370 last night and I'm terrible, haha.

I really like Jimmy's Toscana line and toscana is a nice looking track too.
Apart from Tokyo bay, I find the track editor scenery very boring to drive on.

I switched to using Hood/roof cam last night so I'll see how that goes. Always used chase view before as I used find bumper cam a little boring and restrictive in view before.


If only cockpit view was more like LFS :(

Ok so i've just been told that i took the wrong line. Are you supposed to ride over the green tarmac? That is a whole lot easier than what I did. I did this video and failed 5 more times. If you are allowed to ride over the tarmac then this will be super easy :D
 
I will run whatever you all decide, but the tsukuba track seems reeeally slow in the teardrop... like 5-10mph slow, and the views in watch race mode werent too good in my opinion. i will support whatever you all decide though, but wanted to give my .02.

i have about 3-4 tracks based at tuscana if anyone wants to look at em you are welcome.
 
so has the decision been made on what track were using for round 2? a lot of different tracks being offered but nothing finalized.
 
Five of my team members and KYOKI-jn did it all the time the past hours.. I watched them to see the CP because I hadn't seen them here yet. Its short but technical. But really an amazing place for a train lol, me powell, kingB, lerk,kriticalz and iSlide did sick action lol. Too bad i had homework so i had to leave after an hour.

But I'll be honest. It doesn't flow well. If we're going to use it I'd go with Dave's idea and do an inside clipping point instead of outside on the astrograss.

I agree with that though, if you have to go outside there you slow down too much I say and if a slower accelerating car leads and then takes of, the faster taking off car will probably make contact if he wants to keep his drift. From the inside you have more speed and that feels better then the. Outside. It feels a bit weird because no one really tried it exaclty with these CPs. Almost everyone drifted that D1 part but im pretty sure not all like this.
 
Yeah, the outside clip was really only an idea I had yesterday without even trying the track. It doesn't really work but the rest do. I was drifting with Krit late last night and showed him exactly what I was thinking (and he had it pretty much nailed!) so if he was doing the same line today with you, thats what I have in mind :)

I was just on the laptop over lunch and thought I'd post up a a layout to get people thinking and opinions of what we could do hence the unrealistic clip at the outside of the green painted tar

Of course, there's nothing stopping us running the D1 line all the way through the tear-drop and back out again! :sly:

we were rockin' it for sure. The "u-turn" is a tad finnickey when chasing someone. But i wouldnt say its a problem. As long as you stay outside of the lead car slightly, and leave a one-car gap, you can chase thru the U-turn in tandem nicely. Speeds i think i saw 15 mph at the lowest but it all depends on how you hook around the U.

My 1400 kg curb weight was not feeling too great for it, and commands healthy respect under braking so as not to go too fast, but on the other side of the coin my 600 ft-lbs sure helped smooth out any line changes.

The exit clipping points are absolutely boner-ific. I love ridin' my tires inches away from grass there on that last corner.

Its fun and PLZ use this line is the point of my story.

This has Nothing to about the section but spank I'd like to see a part of fuji, la sarthe or any nurburging once. Its frustrating it takes long to get to the good parts there though :(. You could also check those drift trails some of them have nice sections. I liked everything till now, but its always strange for me at the start xD.

Off topic but I busted you playing BF3 lol, is it good? The beta sucked with respawning and the radar also sucks.
 
I love it, shooting is good and realistic. Spawning it about the same as BBC2, its going to take a bit for me to get use to.
