When I first looked, it looked like you had to clear it with the front bumper. Add A bit of text stating that you need to hit it with the Rear Bumper Dave :)

I thought that was naturally a front bumper cp, it will make the next one much easier if it's rear bumper to rear bumper again.
It's all very confusing, maybe a write up is also needed.

Can't try it right now. (B-spec Indy 500) But it seems quite difficult. As I understand we need to rear-bump CP4, CP1\7 CP3 and CP6? And front-bump CP2 and CP5?

It says in the text in the post its an outside clip an in the picture i have all the text off the track to show the line :)

But, yeah ill redo the picture more clearly later on when Im home again as that post was really only to show what I had in mind and other peoples opinion on it.

CP 2 and 5 are inside clips (front bumper), rest are outside (rear bumper)
Ill be able to do a proper layout tonight anyway with help from photomode :)

Ok I'm doing the line right now and I must say I hate it. You can't build up enough speed for A proper initiation into CP1 and then the run for CP3 requires A fair whack of power and speed (because you don't have due to the slow starting speed) or extensive use of handbrake which is never good in a tandem in this game. CP4 is hard to hit also without power or handbrake :/.. I have A line In mind which I'll put up soon...

Edit: Just tried my best run and I really can't get a steady flowing run without running on the handbrake or straightening up the car. With the low power cars we have in this competition I think we might get some bad feelings on this run.

It's my opinion on this run so don't take it personally when I say I don't like it. It just doesn't flow unfortunately. I'm Struggling so much in my 350Z/370Z and even my 700hp Viper to make it as good as I can.

At first: Congratulations on your win Bahaa! I am sure you deserved it, total domination from qualifying to final!

Thank you zed for the video, I really love it. I will pay you with a shiny penny if you do a vid of the following rounds
:D:tup:

The section is very interesting I'll practice it right now. Do we drift over this green pavement at CP 4 or around the whole thing?

And 6th place isn't even a bad start^^

Right, is there any chance at all that I could change my car?

No sorry you cant.

I would also like to ask if we are going to use the piece of green tarmac on the chicane or not. Going around the tight hairpin kills alot of speed but gives a better line for the last 2 corners while going on the green surface has faster entry speed but doesn't set you up as well for the last 2 corners as well as the tighter hairpin corner. (Its hard to depict what to do from your.. interesting drawing)

yea we would be using the green tarmac.

Not finished and tidied up properly yet as I had to head out there and only on my phone now again but just a rough idea :)

Im thinking big entries on cp 1 (early initiations, backwards entries etc would be favourble in qaulifying but for twinbattles try to keep the big flicks to a minium as its better for close battles)

apex on CP2 and outside clips a 3 and 4.
Then back in tight for CP5 but puts pressure on to get back out to 6 anf 7 to finish)

Havent ran the line myself yet but it sounds good in my head.

if i try it tonight and realize its ****, my apolgies :D

That looks good. I will have to get on maybe later and ill try it out with you guys. I have used it before and remember me liking it but that was only for like 15 minutes.

too bad they dont have road atl on here GT cause this reminds me of it, other than its flatter, slower, and horseshoe is opposite. so its nothing like it kinda. HAHA
but i do like the technical challenge of this one! should see some good tsuiso on this :)

BTW here is that video i was telling you about spank, when i was in NA 13b FC3S Rx7 back in 08'
i still have the shell on coilovers down at my sponsors shop. we have joked about putting a KA24DE in it and and calling it a KaFC.

Haha well when I get my SR you can have my KA!!

I did it in a 340hp sileighty, maybe its cause you suck. :p

No I don't suck. with A 340hp you had next to no angle you were running on E-Brake I imagine. it's not an easy line at all to have it flowing and looking good. The CP on the astro grass just feels terrible while in A tandem and leaves a really bad line for the next CP which completely ruins the next 2 CP's under th bridge and after. :/ You slow down so much under the bridge to make the CP on the corner :S...

It's frustrating the hell out of me!

Yeah, I feel you jimmy... I was giving this a try last night and it really didn't flow well for me at all. For solo runs maybe, but tandeming this is gonna be such a bitch. But if this is it, then whatevers. Gotta do what we can lol

Well, I did say I wasn't sure about CP5 :sly:

I just made that layout from memory of drifting the tear drop in that direction (for about 5 minutes in a ****** AE86) and just my vast drifting intuition of course, lol.

So if even half of the CPs end up working out, I'll be pleased enough as I really just posted it just to get some opinions going and maybe some interesting posts and ideas to read on my phone while I sat in a meeting today from 2 to 5 :sly:

I'm home now again for a while so I'm going to have a quick go on it before dinner to see what its like and then do a proper job of it later tonight.

I reckon CP4 might be better as a inside clip or something different too but I just wanted to try maximize the run along the edge of the track at CP3.

I know handbraking isn't the best for tandems but on a tight teardrop layout like this, your never really going to avoid them.

Again, it was only done quickly to give an idea so as for the run up to the first corner, that makes no odds, we'll make both cars run around the hairpin side-by-side in a speed match and then full chat from the corner exit where one car slips into follow the lead car or whatever makes it work as I think the first corner is a great opportunity to get some epic entries and the right line will look brilliant carried all the way to CP3.

I for one can't wait to try out the track section. I love the way it looks from above, long, fast entries are my favorite. 18 days of practice, King_B I'm coming for you!!

THanks guys!
Lukas! it should be you next time!

This season will surprise us all. We have atleast 20 Super Pro drivers in here. It's never easy vs anybody.

EDIT:

There is something I just have to post:

''I ran that wall. Well I hit the wall. Well I hit the wall and span out.'' Jesus

The line is fine for single runs, but for tandem's it's even worse than the last! With the leader slowing down enough for the 180 turn, there is next to no way of holding the drift on their door.

There is no long fast entry lol.. It's pretty short on GT5

Its up to you! Of course some entries can be faster!

But yeah, I agree with the rest. Its just too tight for tandems!

EDIT: Everybody try this section. It is every bit my discovery and the only person I showed is IISLYDWAYZII
Its rough, and Thats a chicane at the end, not a mistake. There's a small road that ends at the wall. Try it.

This track layout is impossible!!! :nervous:

I have an idea though. A good bit easier though and alittle less technical but at least its much more flowing.

Edit:

Nope! just a **** track full stop I reckon :(

Right shall we just do Tsukuba D1 section because the line at the moment is pants. It's like one of those sections you find on a track and MAKE it work to be different but it just doesn't work.

Its never "too tight" for tandems! You guys all are crazy-talking. Slow everyone down for a 15 or 25 MPH corner and you can REALLY touch door-handles nice.

Well wow didnt think that it would get this much negative feedback. I will get on later and find something different. Its just you guys are too use to high speed tracks, so when I slow you down its like OMFG what is this! Ill find something else...

D-max have used that line loads , James introduced us to it ;) . It does suit higher power though, I like your idea spank but Tsukuba section is way to tight.

Spank when your on we'll talk about lines :) No point everyone throwing ideas around and confusing everybody :) I reckon Since Tsukuba is there then we should try make it work.
