The damage on heavy is flawed, the slightest bump can destroy your whole car. For example, I was racing with redsuns the other day and I got bumped from behind, not hit, not smashed, or crashed, bumped. The back two wheels and the engine were toast, from a little bump. Waiting for people to pit will waste time and if you expect people to battle through it, you know exactly whats going to happen. People will be crying left right and center lol... Save yourself the headache.
 
Not really, I was using heavy damage just a few days ago, I was about to go head-on with a wall, but if you turn your car a bit more so the side of your car hits it will not effect a thing. I say keep it on.

But lets make it a bit fare, if your say leading/chasing and it was the other drivers fault your car just got destroyed your allowed to go to the pit and refix yourself but the other person can not. :)
 
The the other opponent hits you hard enough to disable your car enough to where you can't drive it then advantage goes to you.

Follower shouldn't be hitting you at all.

What I'm saying is, a small bump will disable your vehicle. You can't stop contact in any racing sport/game, it happens. Of course, its your call in the end. Just trying to give some input.
 
Yes over a month wit for these pictures, I know but got some done.

Follower shouldn't be making contact, but it still happens regardless.

I think having the damage on light would be effective enough, because it would definitely hurt if it happened mid run, but you would be back to normal the next run. I think that would be a good balance between damage being something you have to worry about, and being something that causes you to hold yourself back. Much like having no speed match, I think that it would lessen the intensity of the battles.

Well this makes it even harder now, they deleted my VDCS3 thread so now I have to start over free instead of copy and paste. Ugh!
 
They could have just deleted the last 3-4 pages and reopened it :lol:

I also want to take some time now that this is reopened. To apologize to everyone that I have offended by my actions and/or words in the VDCS3 thread. I was having the worst day ever and i happened to come home and take it out on you guys. This was completely uncalled and out of line.

I hope you please take my apology and do not hold it against me and continue in my hard earned competition. I promise nothing will change and I will take your advice into consideration rather than hold something against someone. I am very aware of my mistakes and I will promise this will not happen in the future!

You don't have to apologize man, it was just not your day. In my book your still one of the best people on GTP because of what you doing ;)
 
Thank you Steve for taking the time to apologize, reconsidering, and continuing with VDC3. I have already accepted your apology privately, but I'm sure everyone will be able too as well.

I'm excited for this to continue and I look forward to the awesome drifting. Again, we appreciate all the time and commitment into making VDC happen. 👍👍
