Volvo's latest concept car is targeted for the Chinese market.

Is the front by far the ugliest thing that has ever been fitted to a car, or is it a stroke of genius? What do you think?

That front end is hideous, revolting, even. That and the strange shape of the bonnet... What the hell? The rest of the car looks pretty good, though. Looks like a wasted opportunity to me.

Not sure about the 544 styling clues and the concentric grill and light detailing are weird. Apart from that it's very average.

Looks like its been developed from the VCC concept.

I think the new one looks ok apart from the grille bands.

I don't like it... It's ugly in my opinion. The detailing on the grille and the headlights look strange and the shape of the hood is like some old cars. That side mirror looks cool though!

Looks 80's or something to me. Also, it already looks very dated and I just saw it...

Some solid ideas in there I think. None of them were completely thought through. That's sad because I feel like a lot of elements on the car have been very successfully used on other cars.

Well, thank god only Chinese People will have to see this thing, if this goes into production.

This thing is ugly as ****.

piiiiiiiigggg...

Uh, Ford? perhaps you shouldn't have let them go to the Chinese...

Hmm, ok then let's see:

Tall beltline which is nice, suicide doors to give that Rolls Phantom feel, concept'ish side mirror and ... a front end styled by Volvo's newest and most incompetent Inter. :yuck:

Usually design studies are meant to survey public reaction to a new design identity, I guess that OMFG wazz dat? qualify as consensual feedback in this case.

Please Volvo, make stationwagons and saloons for everybody again, not ugly but not supercar level.

Looks like an amalgam of every other 4-door out there, but with a bizarre 80s-style 'futuristic' front end slapped on. The front end looks like something out of Robocop or Demolition Man, and the hood, while okay from the wheels back, looks like something (again, 'futuristic') from the 50s in a very bad way.

Still hideous.

The back end is a little less unpleasant to look at, though:

As a design study it's pretty valid, after studying with it Volvo should know it doesn't look good at all, however some more subtle design cues shall make to the production models. The concentric headlamps? Unlikely.

The only thing that is really ugly is the front. Other than that I actually think it is pleasant enough to look at.

I wanna get sick. :yuck:

I actually really like it. Definitely stands out.

This is a design study!? Looks to me like they already failed the test.

That's actually kinda hot. I like those hips. If that car were a chick, I would be posting pictures of it with "daylight" in the premium forum and calling it a butterface. A little plastic surgery on the face and I think it could really work out. Put the headlights where they're supposed to be and widen that grill and I think we're in business here.
