FamineIt's all about the budget.
The Rover 1.6 Ks models run about 160hp at best. Still, that's a lot of power for a 1000lb car. By the time you reach the entry level Honda 2.0 you've added 60hp and about £6,000. Go Supercharged and you're 80hp up on that, for another £6,000. And then there's the V8 which is 200hp more for £120,000 more
If I was entering the world of Atom it would be a straight fight between the Rover K and the 220 - my brother started at the 245 Mk2 and progressed to a 300hp Mk3 (and nearly stacked that on the way home, having already owned an Atom for 4 years!)

I'd have thought have nominating the Jaguar XJ, but yeah. I miss the old one. The new one is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. But, it just doesn't seem quite as bad-ass as its predecessor.
It took them three years to make it so that you wouldn't instantly die when you got into it.
Plus, that's why I nominated the 300 - whose engine is built in Swindon.
