If you could make up the VRR Super GT schedule, what 9 venues would you choose?

Corvette's new regs should be interesting, because it's already close to the bottom of the power limiter...

As was the Ford GT. Which is why I'm glad I gave plenty of room for weight...

I did some testing of my own on the GT300s. Ran about 9-10 laps coming out of the pits and the results were the following:

  • Corvette Z06 LM: 1:09.624
  • RX7 GT300: 1:09.865
  • Lexus IS350 GT300: 1:10.329
  • Subaru BRZ GT300: 1:10.561 (Could be a bit faster made a little mistake on this lap)
  • Ford GT LM Spec II: 1:10.593 (Could be 1 to 2 tenths faster without errors)
  • Garaiya GT300: 10:845 (A bit of a handful with it's lift off oversteer)
  • Audi R8 LMS Ultra: 1:11.965 (I could never get a handle on this one. @AudiMan2011 what was your best lap on this car?)
Note: All the cars were tested with the specs provided on the OP and without any success ballast adding in.

Some of the cars are on par with what I got. Strange you got 1:10 out of the Ford GT. I was pulling low 1:09s in opening laps of a stint.

Low 1:09s? Wow I must be doing something wrong then. Just be to sure that was online with tire wear on normal right? Also, what was the time on the track? I'll try again with the same room settings

Normal tire wear, 12:00 track time.

I tried and I can't even get close to a high 1:09. Still stuck in the mid 1:10s :(. The car is handling great so I guess I'm just bad with the Ford lol.

I also got a 1:11.9 PB with averages in the mid-low 1:12s.

From the unannounced testing session last night it's realized that the #3 (9) and #4 Lexus SC430s are right on pace with each other both running low-to-mid 1'05s on their best laps. The #4 car is more consistent with that pace so it'll definitely be interesting how the race plays out for the pair of Lexus drivers.

#4 - Metallic beige with pink wheels

Glad I can now confirm this now, It will be interesting.

Very interesting to see the entry list for Mid-Field. Not keeping my hopes up on that number showing up Saturday, but if it happens, fantastic. In the session last night, #1 GT-R pulled a besy lap of 1:06.2 and was averaging 1:06.6, which is better than before. The gap is shrinking all around, and the GT300 reg changes will make it better.

And just to confirm it here, we are running a completely dry race, correct?

Miracles do happen

2) Contrary to prior practice, success ballast will be applied based on how many points each driver earns in the class they are racing.
So theoretically I could switch to GT300 halfway through, have no ballast as I don't have any points in that class, and take an advantage in the overall championship? I don't like this, I think it should be determined by how many points you have overall in both classes regardless.

There is the rules regarding a driver carrying 30% of the class leader's ballast in the case of a new driver coming in after halfway. And drivers are locked into their cars unless I move them, so voluntarily switching isn't an option.

That was towards the drivers that have been mentioned a lot recently. Not sure why you would want to when you're leading GT500 points out of the gate.

I think the rule should be revised. If a GT500 driver wants to go to GT300 they should take their success weight with them. If they're moving because they aren't good in GT500s then they won't have as much weight to start and vice versa. Same goes for GT300s moving up to GT500s. This is just my opinion, the rule at least needs to be more clear. I've seen nothing about some of the systems you have implemented in the OP so it's a little foggy. 👍

Thread has been updated, and the following changes have been made:
1) BoP of some cars have been changed to bring them back to the rest of the field. The regs are as follows...
Honda HSV-010 GT: 480 hp, 1,100 kg. (reduction of 15 horsepower)
Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 LM: 345 hp, 1,150 kg. (addition of 50 kilograms of weight)
Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car: 315 hp, 1,200 kg. (addition of 40 kilograms of weight)
RE Amemiya RX-7 GT300: 320 hp, 1,100 kg. (reduction of 15 horsepower)
The full series car regulations can be found in the top of the OP.

2) Success ballast rules have been updated to cover class changes and late season debutants. This is found in the tab "Success Ballast System" in the OP.

3) Race Reports have been added in a separate tab underneath the season calendar. This includes lists of penalties served and yet to be served coming into each race.

Angel, question: The penalty for crossing the pit entry/exit lines is a 10 second stop and go. Does it have to be served in the first three laps like the other stop and go, or can it be served in a regular pit stop?

It has to be served in the first three green flag laps. I thought I had clarified that, but if not I'll do so.

Okay. In the penalty system, it doesn't state it for crossing the pit entry/exit lines, but it does state that in the penalty above (jumping start/restart). I would add it to the second one just to clarify.

So it's not only a 10-second penalty but more like a 30+ due to the pit delta, all for crossing a line? That's as harsh as CORE.

But it's applied in race, which can be made up, instead of being removed after the fact where there isn't any way of making up lost time. And it's that way because I point out where those spots are beforehand, so there shouldn't be a problem unless people aren't paying attention.

True, although I think just the extra 10 on a normal stop should be enough. Your championship, your rules. 👍

It will be considered. Jumping a start deserves the penalty as it is. I'll inform everyone of any additional changes before FP1.

CORE's penalty system was so perfect and strict, but so badly applied (abitrary penalties to everyone! amirite) that it was a big pile of crap, that was the main reason I left.
