Seth, if you have time, can you have a go with the MR2? I'd be interested to see how you would tune out the oversteer in that thing.

And, people are running 1:07s? 👍 guys, good job! I'm seeing some good times spread about on the last page. I know that the Honda Civic Type R '08 (FN) that I'm running sees 1:08s as an impressive time, and the rare 1:07s... So, our main target will be 1:07s. Most cars should be able to run those times here, especially a well tuned FR or MR, since it's such a winding little track, but the corners are somewhat high speed

Yeah I think this is where it all started going wrong. My Mazda, 1:09's barely I think. Storm's Lotus (we all know how much we love Lotuses) 1:08's. I think similar pace for Vauxhall VX220 Turbo / Opel Speedster Turbo. However, my PS3 has gone under a full restore (not before backing the game up) and whilst I slept overnight GT5 installing, and I'm still waiting (11GB save data).

If you're still looking for stewards/officials, I'm in!

First of all, thank you to MrMelancholy15 for registering me.

Secondly concerning the ballast system.
I agree with freshseth83 on his idea. Keeping that extra weight until the next podium is a valid point. But is 10kg not too little?

What about running it similar to the old super touring success ballast rule.

"The top three finishers in each race would receive an additional 40kg, 30kg and 20kg, which had to be carried in the car at the following race meeting. A maximum of 40kg was given to any driver achieving a podium finish in both races."

It will keep things fair and ensure that there is no runaway winner in a specific car.

Dunno just my 2 cents worth...

If we do success ballast then I can't use the Elise since it's maxed out its ballast anyway. Shame really. I could try the Evora on GVE, but with more torque to add to its power, there's a good chance it'll be too fast. Good thing I'm testing out a Honda Integra, and really enjoying how it turns. I'll test it properly at 236 bhp and 1200kg, as I've been reachin 1:09's with 224 bhp stock.

I could possibly add a low RPM Turbo to give the car a more even troque from low to high gears, or add a mid RPM turbo for a bit more torque where it's gonna be used. currently the car is 432pp.... bit low actually... but whatever. The Lotus' PP was 434pp and look what that ended up doing at Monaco.

So we pushing for 1:07's now? Or still 1:08's?

Can we get an official track list up? That way we can test any and everything. Should help get rid of any doubts and help people choose their car if they havent yet or choose to change.

Well it just has plenty of on-power-oversteer.
I tested it and it´s actually a beast. Fast but eats Tires quite quick and with relatively worn Tires it is very tricky.

Well as above said I did another Test round and chose following cars from the Google Doc with them specs (I will reduce power//add weight or both cause we will be heading for low 1:07´s and not for almost 1:04´s):

1. Subaru WRX ´10
276kw and 1236kg RS and a Quick-Tune from myself----> 1:05.280
-very stable and good to Tires
=> 1250kg should be ok (for all AWD cars)
And lower power 256kw maybe

2. Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII RS ´03
276kw 1236kg RS and Q-T ---> 1:05.298
-Like the Subie so same detuning should be applied

3. VW Scirocco R
Wanted to test this controversial thing and man this is a demon.
261kw 1169kg RS and Q-T ---> 1:05.764
-Eats Tires quite heavy but is mean fast
=> Higher weight 1200kg and 248kw maybe should bring it

4. Honda CRZ alpha
a)238kw 1002kg RS Q-T ---> 1:06.379
b) 238kw 1100kg RS Q-T ---> 1:06.824
=> 1150kg and low 1:07´s are achieved although the Tire wear brang me to low 1:07´s after the 1:06 so ....

5. RUF 3400
246kw 1200kg RS Q-T ---> 1:05.337
-This is a killer !! Too good to the Tires and super fast only looses on the Straights.
=> less power and more weight. 1300kg (so no weight tuning) and no Racing exhaust => stock power and weight
But me think drop that Car from the Rooster.

6. Finally the Toyota MRS-2 GTS ´97
276kw/1107kg RS Q-T ---> 1:05.085 (and I screwed the following lap with 0.3 infront => 1:04´s possible)
=> Has to get more weight 1250kg me think and less power 246ish
- Eats Tires heavyly and is Tricky in general, but if you control it your flying.
- It has a Lancer Torque curve really early full Torque => you can stay in an higher gear than normal but still accel fast out of Turns.

Tonight I will Test all my 12 Tested Cars with different specs. I hope to get them all to 1:07.0-1:07.6

If someone wants my Set-ups, just pm me here.
In addition you can send a FR and join my lounge tonight. We could have some nice short races instead of boring lonesome laps :D

€dit: I saw now that the power isn´t in kw it´s in HP *d´oh*
All the Cars are ruined know and I have to do it from scratch :(
276hp => 203 kw
270hp => 198 kw
266hp => 195 kw
246hp => 180 kw
256hp => 188 kw

Oh boy me stupido xDD

King ... I'll join you tonight cuz I need to do some serious testing with my Primera.
Got an ok-ish setup but I'm sure it can get better ...

I reckon not only an official track list, but also time them all as a 2 second disadvantage on a <70 second track is somewhat disheartening

Wow, new man to look out for on the track. Those are some outstanding times. 👍 Did you say they were base tunes? Can you test the S2000 out at 266/1100? I want to see if Im even close to unlocking its full potential.

Thanks for sharing all of this data. 👍

Yeah I will use some of the better Testing Courses:

Trial Mountain, Deep Forrest, Autumn Ring, Monza, Suzuka, Spa, Nürb GPF/GPD etc

At them Tracks you can clearly see which Car is O.P. and which is U.P.

Yes I have a FWD, FR, MR and AWD base tune. They work good but you still have to adapt minor things to the Car.
But the base setup is ok.
Hope you read my power mistake :D => Times are good but with to powerfull cars :D

My first commentary of ITCC preseaon round 1, race 1, is being uploaded to youtube as I type! It was too long origionally, so i had to cut it a little, I hope it isnt too bad :)

I'll post a link when its done!

Lol yeah I caught the edit. I'd get out there and throw some laps down with you, but most of my work days are 12 hours long. Sun up to sundown. :(

:( is it up?? I'm trying to do it from my phone and it's going nuts and I'm not sure if it's up or not... And it's 2.5 gb, so it needs to go!

My bad Polar, I was reffering to kings post edit. I do look forward to seeing the video tho. :)

Soon we'll be reaching a 1:05 benchmark, which is just plain silly, just because a few of us are running super quick in super quick cars given the most fitting tuning setup.
Oh dear, seems I was right to be dubious. But even still that's incredible how fast you managed to do in those cars, King. Any chance you could test the Integra when you've got time? Actually, can anyone test this out? I got 235 bhp (not broken in yet) and 1200kg and I'm reaching 1:09 flat, which more tweaks I can do with the car and a cleaner lap could see me push the car into mid 1:08's. I reckon 1100-1150kg would see the Integra hit 1:07's.

Tez, he was using the wrong units of measurements for hp. So he ended up having more hp. He was using kw instead of hp. And Ill be honest, never heard anyone use the term kw before.

I tried to change my language of the PS3 to get other units in GT5 but me think there is a "region-lock".
=> I have killowatts instead of bHP/HP. Same is with french they have CV instead of bHP.

I try to get the specs right but the cars feel good and with less power they will be easier to handle :D

The reason why I thought it was kW was: The German Flag of MrMelancholy :D
=> German = kW => google doc with Power = 276 = kW but then I saw you talking about bHP and then *d´oh*

Oops, I'm on the same page now. My bad, I guess having only 4 hours sleep really does affect me mentally. :D

I think the last time I had at least 7 hours sleep was Sunday, and that was when I slept for 11 hours. I think the most I've had since then is a bit less than 6 hours.

Hi. I like the look of this series but would not want to waste anyone's time not being able to commit regularly, could you tell me the day and time you usually practise and race? Cheers.

If you look at the OP, you will notice that the first thing you'll see is a count down to the next race. You can use that to find out when the next race is. (it works on the app too, so don't try to pull a quick one)

Saturdays 9:30 PM GMT-0. I think that's your time, given the displayed city and the time zone that city's in.

i think where (the uk) are now in GMT+1 as its summer.
