I'm not sure. I hate this summer time stuff. Not the beautiful sound of the thunder, or the cuddles I get with my cat, when he gets scared of the thunder, I love that...

But, changing the clocks back and forth... :scared: It gets pretty irritating pretty quickly.

Anyways, it's 4:30 PM EST, and I think the general rule between EST and the U.K. is always to add 5 hours.
 
cool, looks like the racing will start at 10.30 in the uk according the current summer time

EDIT: just seen that the whole of Europe's clocks go forward! Why cant it not be simple lol :confused:

If it's the same time at which you opened the lobby this weekend then it's at 2130 BST (British Summer Time) our current time zone

And, Polarbear, great job with that. I think we could save you the hassle of commentating for the entire race, by watching the replays while on Skype, and having me record it, but, you did a great job with the visual video quality. Now, let's try (at least try) to get sound in, and have a few more voices, to add that intrigue to the series. I've never seen a series with only one commentator. :)

Mel: "The cars are handling very well, oh and there we have a three way tie with MrMel, Polar and Nirv for first place. And over to you..."

Me: "Well all I got to say is *beep* *beeeep* beeep* hell *beep* Storm gets it *beep* wrong again. OH *BEEP* that was a *beeeeeep* amazing *beep* overtake!"
 
Right. About that... moment while I make a little sound track explaining the beep system... :)

Otherwise, I'm not really that worried. Actually, Polar said "butt... butt... butt... so and so was on my butt..." and it never stopped! :lol: So, I think I'll get a whole bunch of tech geeky sound-engineering practice out of this.

Been testing different cars last night and I wanna know how the hell u guys are running between 1:07 and 1:08 times? ...
First off the Primera, as much as it is a beautiful car in real life, its absolute horrid in game. After numerous test and settings changes, I could only best 1:12:xxx.
The Skyline GTS-T Type M was the fastest of the Nissans and Scooby's I tested, but I only managed 1:09:058. That was my best time of the session, but i had to drop the weight by 50kg. Running 276/1050.

I have been playing around with the settings ( best to my knowledge, which is limited in that area) and the car feels like a brilliant setup for my style.
What am I doing wrong?

Gonna be doing more testing tonight.
 
Tested earlier today with a few new cars and some in use by others. Tried out both Civics being used, the premium Civic type R @GV I was getting 1:07.7 first lap out. Standard hatchback Civic type R was 1:08.0xx, but @1200kg 275hp. Car drove like the Scirocco. I was surprised how it felt. I realised it was a used car and I didn't oil change it nor lighten it. It'll definitely be in the 1:07's when I modify it. I'll post my tunes in my next post
 
Ok, so I don't know how much of a break-in the Integra needs, but thus far at 236 bhp and 1200 kg, high 1:08's/low 1:09's is about the limit I've got to thus far. Even if I break it in or do some mods, I'm likely to only get low to mid 1:08's, which the ocassional high 1:07. I'll keep testing though, but it looks like the car could do with a diet.
 
So After my faux pax of thinking we use kW I did a retest of all ars I did so far plus I added the S2K and the Integra (both Premiums).

1. WRX ´10
203kW 1250kg RS ---> 1:08.020 (high 07´s possible maybe lower the weight to 1236kg)

2. EVO VIII RS ´03
203kW 1250kg RS ---> 1:08.500 => definately my fault since I had to detune it too heavy because I installed the Engine Upgrades

3. RUF 3400S
a) 180kW 1200kg RS ---> 1:08.328
b) 188kW 1200kg RS ---> 1:07.602 => much more competitive

4. MRS-2 GTS ´97
a) 203kW 1107kg RS ---> 1:07.363
b) 195kW 1200kg RS ---> 1:07.738 => better compared to the a) time

5. Sileighty
203kW 1100kg RS ---> 1:08.142 => maybe I could hit the 07´s but big ?

6. 240SX (S14)
203kW 1100kg RS ---> 1:07.815

7. 190E
203kW 1118kg RS ---> 1:07.632

8. Nismo 270R
203 kW 1100kg RS ---> 1:08.194 => same as with the EVO (too much upgrades)

9. BMW Z4
203kW 1131kg RS ---> 1:07.696

10. SPOON Civic
a) 203kw 1020kg RS ---> 1:07.353
b) 195kW 1020kg RS ---> 1:07.842 => but if we implement Ballast weight the base weight has to drop so has the power ===> more testing

11. CRZ alpha
203kW 1100kg RS ---> 1:07.887

12. Scirocco R
188kW 1169kg RS ---> 1:07.743

13. S2K
a) 266hp/195kw 1200kg RS ---> 1:08.6 (08.3ish is possible but for me to less power)
b) 203kw 1200kg RS ----> 1:07.8 (just installed a small intake part to raise the power)

14. Integra
a) 236hp/176kw 1200kg RS ---> 1:08.9
b) 250ish hp/183kW 1200kg RS ---> 1:08.7
c) 203 kw 1200kg RS ---> 1:07.784
=> Integra drives superb but it has a lack of power and with 1200kg and max-legal power it is not OP nor UP

So most of them are spot on and very competitive. At least for me so maybe some faster drivers get more out of them.

Adition: The SPOON is a superb FF Car ty it it´s a beast.

Had my lobby open thought some of you would send me a FR (Sakery is my PSN-ID)

You got the right tyres? (Racing all sets as there's a possibility of 2 compound races)

How about suspension, LSD, Brake Balance & Transmission? (I had top speed of like 120 in Monaco)

Also what about the parts that improve performance without upping the performance points? (Clutch, Flywheel, Rigidity)

I may open a room later this evening, so we can check out later. Back to crying over my 1:09's :grumpy:

Testing on RS. Running either a 5/6 spd tranny. Been kitted out in all the top stuff. Could be my LSD or Suspension settings that's out.

I'll send a FR later and we'll check from there ...

Alright guys. We still have pre-season testing time! If you think the car you're in isn't competitive, just try it out with us, and work with it, until you find times that are truly competitive.


So, Damu, try running 256 hp in the RX-7, for example.


Nizmo, I have no idea, but, I'll be glad to help you find that last second!


We have another driver who just registered, and one driver, who, due to lack of involvement, will not be competing.

We do have 18 drivers registered. Max lobby size is 16. The people who have joined, are not in danger of losing their spots, but, instead, it's those people with "average" or worse attendance.

Sakery, thank you. I found it pretty helpful. I'll consider all of the cars you mentioned. You may use the Nismo 270R. If you'd like, you could use the one I have, until one appears in UCD.
