I was thinking on the way into work this morning that we should actually setup a dedicated test day close to the weekend race for everyone to get a feel of their car with traffic ...
And an opportunity to suss out the competition ... :sly:

The beauty of the dedicated racing lounge system that Mel has set up is it gives everyone a place to gather for testing as well as racing. In other series I've participated in with this setup, unless testing alone or with a team mate, everyone gathered in the main lounge for race testing and mock races. Don't have to go searching for rooms online, and don't have to worry about people not in the series joining your public lobby.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Jp and East Coast Motorsports for taking the time to help me out... Thanks

Glad to help Norm, I enjoy tuning and figuring out how to get the most out of cars as much as I enjoy driving. I'm fairly certain I'm not going to make all the race dates so I probably won't be a contender for the title, but hopefully I can help someone tune their ride and maybe pick up a spot or two or at the very least, enjoy driving their car a little more.

So does that mean NO ROAD RAGE INCEDENTS for me?

EDIT: Or even Damu who like to chew up Fiat 500F's in his spare time ...

Hmmm, I would like to say I'm clean here, but the incidents still seem to find me:

GVE: diddy race 2, Johnny & K1m race 3

Tsukuba: Nizmo race 3 :grumpy:, cnd after diddy race 3, lap polar

Suzuka: Lancer race 2, first trip to the degner race 3, the 130r to the casio race 3 (caught on mels vid xD)

Yep, perfectly clean...

Lol ... I'll try and stay out of your way next time Damu ... :sly:

this will be controlled, lol, thanks to the gt5 kick button lol, and it will have to be done this way, as not everyone is friends with each other, well not yet anyway,

if every person that comes into the clearly states thru either auto msg, or on the msg board in the room that they are in the series and their division, the ppl that are suppose to be there will be and the ones that arent wont be, and the ones that need help will be helped, simple, lol

i have run clean and dirty rooms for F1, NASCAR, Indycar, Le Mans prototypes, shuffle etc, i have an eye for picking people who need assistance in lines or assistance, and weeding out the trouble makers ( i have a one chance rule, the chance starts when you enter my room, i will enquire first as to the reason of the incident, however, if i see it happen and i see that it was intentional, you get the FOOT! i dont like having 1 person ruining it for 15 others,

also i see alot of potential in this series as a base, and as far as the regs go, its very even, i would like to help ppl improve there lines and cars to the point where everyone is covered (32 cars over 2 divisions i believe) within 1 second of each other before seasons end, then Mrm would have a damn difficult task of deciding division 1 and 2 for motegi, lol

Well you just spun, otherwise I had a nice drive out of the corner. Life's a world of if's & but's, huh? :dopey:

btw guy the open practice session will be open in approx 9hrs, there will be a msg on this thread half hour before i open the room letting you all kno what to do,

That might conflict with the ALMS race tonight. I will be there for as long as I can though :)

it will be open for aprrox 4.5hrs, its not a mandatory thing, its just there to help people struggling, and for people to get used to running in traffic, so if you cant make it theres no hard feelings, lol

Alright my man. I will probably show up sometime. :sly:

That's the point of the ITCC Lounge. Everyone who comes in is a member of the series. There is no need to police anything or kick anyone. You don't need to be on everyone's friend list, you only need one friend in common...the ITCC Lounge...and then everyone can gather there.

Some information for you guys... sakery was running 1150kg 266hp I was 1120kg 260hp. The GT86 is good with turns and braking. Top speed isn't it's strength. Madrid's straights are after tight hairpins and turns. 4wd will get a good launch off those. The GT86 is good as well, but turn in isn't as sharp as FWDs. You might think tire wear is an advantage, but in reality I used mediums to start the race. While everyone fights for position on the first few laps, mediums allow you to 'keep up' until pit stops where your tires last longer than the softs. Then with the times being close to the softs you don't lose out much. But when you pit for softs, you have slightly lower fuel and the best tires! That's how I pulled the gap. Try that strategy then maybe you won't think my car is super magical but I was using the tires to their advantage.

Tire wear in the RWD's is a huge advantage over the FF's. Almost everyone starts on mediums. Look at the RWD tire wear in replays after a 6 or 7 laps on softs and then look at most of the FWD guys..huge difference.

Sure. I used FWD cars before guy. I didn't see 'almost everyone' start on mediums either. The majority did the opposite. If you can't make your tires last longer that's not my problem. Maybe more tuning is in order.

Maybe you should stop acting like you have a disadvantage  You are winning right now. I haven't won a race yet because I haven't tuned enough or you just tuned better. Different cars like different tracks better.

I said I had a disadvantage? You'll have to direct me to that post. TOP SPEED is my disadvantage. Tracks like Monza, Daytona Road, Indy Road and Fuji.

Well... You just said you have a disadvantage?....

You claim that the other cars have an advantage on you like the evo. This means that you say that you have a disadvantage against the evo. We are only going to one of your TOP SPEED DISADVANTAGE TRACKS- INDY ROAD COURSE WHERE THE DRAFT WILL MAKE UP FOR TOP SPEED PROBLEMS JUST LIKE AT ANY OTHER TRACK THAT WE HAVE BEEN TO SO FAR. You are claiming to have a problem that will affect you at one track. I have more horsepower than you yes, but I weigh 66 kg, I believe more than you, which more than makes up the difference in the 16 less horsepower that you have. I don't complain. I knew going in that tire wear would be a challenge with the focus. I like having to work for the best car.

You pulled the gap jumping the start. You held it with tire strategy. I did the same strategy.

If we start at 4:30pm GMT time, what would the time be for me here in Washington State on the pacific coast (PST Zone)?

It is 3:30 central daylight time, so it will be probably 1:30 pacific daylight time.

Can we stop with the now "Boring Toppic" of the race in the "PAST" (last weeks race)? It's taking up alot of space on this forum. Take it to the other forum.
Face it, fresh is a good driver (just like most of us) and if he jumped the start, I would think that Mr,M would have done something about it by now. 👍
The topic should be about the race coming up. :)

Thanks cnd for the info. :)

Seth is one of the best drivers in this series, but he insists on having everything the way he wants it. The whole evo saga stemmed from johnny running a 1.28.2 at Madrid which we are running this week. I reciprocate some of the same feelings that Seth has about the evo's speed; however, I think that he is taking one to many cookies out of the jar(speaking figuratively) considering the specs that he got with his car. Of the cars RWD cars that have drivers assigned to them, the GT86 has the most bhp and the lowest weight. I just checked the official list on this thread.

My bad, I thought this was still coming from last weekends race. I comend the guy for getting the 1:28. I don't think anyone else has hit this time have they?
Most of the cars on the list are at 276HP @ 1100kg. My car is 260HP at 1120kg(fast car). Your Focus is 276HP @ 1186(fast little car). JoeTruck has to run his 4WD at 276HP @ 1250kg(fast car) . I think they are all balanced very well and all are fast.

My post was about last weeks race. If Seth's gonna complain about me/my teammate, I'm going to complain back.

in a test yesterday, just trying new things i pulled a 1.27.4 out in one hot lap,
i knew it was gonna be quick with how the scoob got the run into and thru turn 1, however, to run that pace id be on a 5-7 stop strategy, i roasted the tires, in 1 extremely fast lap, with the setup im going to run im looking at a 1.29 dead as a fast lap, but to do that im going to have to pick my marks exactly on the spot, so in saying once again, yes AWD is an advantage if tire wear was off, but its not, and racing is different you can test in other online rooms and find your tire wear is fine, go into the race, qualify down the back and pit twice thru overdriving the car,

anyways, the open test room will be open in the next 45 minutes to help whoever need the assistance, the room name will be,

ITCC Practice,
TDZ-4-12-14-88
circuito de Madrid reverse, obviously,

REMINDER!!!! within the next 45 minutes it will be open,

Wow what a lap. I still have a long time at work. It will be 3 hours before I get off. I will try to make it though sometime.

its great but not practal, thats absolutely fine,

I get made fun of because I voice my opinion about cars going 1, now 2 seconds faster? I get made fun of because people didn't go @Suzuka when they were suppose to? HAH! I'll just laugh. First it was the TVR! "Seth's too fast... TVR blah blah" then it was the Scirocco "Overpowered (@260hp 1169kg) VW..." then it was "GT86 is bad at those regs..." But when I say there shouldn't be 4wds with specs like FWDs I'm complaining? Cry a river. I've spec'd cars for other series before so I know. Don't hate my message about cars being equal, cus I was at the front in whatever I ran. So if it's ME saying 4wds are too fast at a certain spec, you should be listening. Instead the lot of you think I'm trying to get some leg up? Get real, guys.

No one's making fun of anyone. If anyone steps beyond reason, they will face a warning too.

But, I can't yet be sure that anyone will run overly quick in the races. The tires won't last long enough.
