The new FT-1 has a bunch of great colors. And you get to keep the paint chip. Same goes with the M4
To be quite honest, they are plain and boring. Other than the Mint, which is nothing special, none are new or exciting as far as I can tell.
Plus the car is expensive.

The gray and the orange colors are quite nice.

I found another one!

Toyota MR-S Edition '99/Toyota MR2 Spyder '99: 19,800 Cr - Green Mica Metallic, a lovely bright green metallic colour which is a tad less yellowy looking than the Spirited Green Metallic found on the Mazda Demio. It's probably my favourite green colour (unless one of the prizes for golding a seasonal is a chrome green colour :sly:)

And to clear up something in the OP

NICKname [thank you!] updated the OP, sorted the cars by lowest price first (since it's probably what people are looking for), made a few corrections and additions.

White: Lexus LFA, Pikes Peak White (source?) probably brighter than Grand Prix White, Arctic white from the new Mazda Demio sport, Super White II or White Solid (sources?), Bianco Isis (Audi TT I think) is very white, Mineral White (metallic white paint) BMW M4

Pikes Peak White is obtained from:
Nissan 350Z (Z33, US)'03 : 33,000 Cr. It is the brightest white I own (I don't have Whitest White which is obtained from the Lexus LFA so I cannot say which is brighter out of the two. Please note that Pikes Peak White is only obtained from the US model and not the EU model.

As far as I can tell, there are three Mustangs with "Grabber Blue" as a color choice and none of them give you the chip. :(

Anyone know what color get closest to rays te37rt red because i want to replicate the wheel in game and couldnt find the right shade of red though....

I paint some wheels white once in a while and had been looking for a nice white that doesnt look so "dull".

I prefer matte but for a perfect white shimmer and its also a great white for body:

Pearl White Crystal Shine
located on any of the '00 GS300s

Got some classic racing cars paint chips, I purchased the Lotus Europa S.2 '68 for the British racing green, and the Ferrari 458 Italia (you'll need this car to complete the game anyway) for the Rosso Corsa...the Bleu de France is missing (?), the closest colour is probably the Hommel Berlinette's Bleu non metallise...

Can someone recommend a solid grey from somewhere?
Dark? Light?
I think MATTE LIGHT GRAY was awarded for one of the seasonals.
Volvo 240 wagon has a couple silvers that are pretty dull and grayish.

Are you getting a bit tired with only having a narrow range of colours available?
By buying and selling a number of the least expensive cars, it is fairly easy to massively increase your stock of paint chips. This is a list of a few cheap cars in the dealerships that have a nice range of colours available.
EAGLE TALON 1997 $15,740
Has a couple intriguing colors.
Spanish Olive is a bit of a dark green with a gold hue.
Paprika is an orangeish red.
Bright Jade is turquoise tinted more to the blue side of the spectrum.

Edit : still looking for te37rt color

'03 Suzuki CONCEPT-S2 - 35,000 Cr. - Has some interesting colours such as London Green Pearl which is a lovely bright green. An interesting fact, all of the colours for this car are pearlescent and are named after a city (London Green Pearl, Barcelona Orange Pearl, Nice Yellow Pearl etc.)

Very helpful, thankyou very much

So I wish I followed this thread earlier.

For the Greens: @tomcat66
I like the Verde Gemma Metallizatto from the Alfa 147 '02 this is a nice light green.

Verde from the Ferrari 458 is a nice dark green.

Sassy Grass Green from on of the muscles? Looks like the Focus.

So, as we know the McLaren paint is off limits. Personally my two favorite colors from the MP4, are Fire Black and Black Sapphire. The game does neither paint justice, but these are not appreciated fully unless you are IRL. They look unbelievable in the sunlight, but in a overcast sky they look completely black.

So to match these the best I can in game, I use:

Mclaren Fire Black
Berry Pearl Effect (a shade more red)

Mclaren Sapphirre Black
Elderberry Pearl Effect (a shade more blue)

McLaren Orange
Papaya Orange

These chips can all be found on the
Audi TT coupe 3.2 quattro '03
$57,740

All the paint chips are excellent and most are pearlescent. Hope this helps anyone.

EDIT
There is a substitute thats a metallic in the M3 Coupe '07 for the McLaren black sapphire. I personally think the pearl looks better in overcast

Just a head's up to some members who have been asking for a teal/mint type green. You can get it from the Triumph, it's called Java Green. I love it at the moment with either Pure White or Matte Black painted alloys.

I believe the McLaren F1 Paints arent official "McLaren" paints. I do think the give chips.

I could be wrong.

How can this paint be matched its so unreal!

An obsession with Blue Paint ...

Ever since my days as a youth i've sprayed cars blue - all my top Scalextric cars were re-painted in various shades of blue ... then my first set of real wheels (a MkI Escort van) got dawbed in blue paint ... and onthrough time to GT5 where i carried the tradition on ! Now, having just moved up to GT6, i'm experimenting in Blue once more!

Thanks to this thread i've found the (popular!) "French Blue" ... available by buying the cheapo
Triumph Spitfire for cr. 17,200 and now the colour of choice for my top cars ... until i get hooked on another Blue !!

The Spitfire's also a source for other obscure (cheap!) colours :)

A better shot of the French Blue

rx-7motegi_1.jpg

... and how it looks on a RX-7.

Hope this is useful to other Blue fanatics !!!

PS: WR Blue Mica is a good shade but i can't remember where i got the bugga from ???

(Edit: Thx to the kind souls on here, WR Blue Mica can be found with the (Modern) Subaru Impreza and Sonic Blue Mica on the older Impreza)
