You have to put it with a crew. Free repair takes much more time when the vehicle is just left in the stockyard without a crew.

These Italian fighters are flying trash buckets, ten of them can't deal with a couple of Hurries, if it's not an arcade battle.
The thing is... I had a Bf 109 E-3 in the hangar as well, and that time stayed at what it was with a crew. It was 2 hours with a crew, and 2 hours in the hangar.

I've also got 3 Shermans in my lineup that have been destroyed for almost the entire week, and they're only suppose to have 2 days max on the one, the rest are less than that and they've all been under repair for the entire week.

I was very honorable last night. Over Saipan, it was down to two P-47s and 2 A6M2 Mod 11s. I was on the Japanese side and the two P-47s were working together as a team. The other A6M went for a P-47, so I lined up on the other, in a head-on (which, was extremely risky itself), opened fire, but instead of moving out of the way, I rolled 90 degrees and collided with the one P-47. That left the match to a 1v1 and even though the P-47 should have had the energy and speed to overpower the Zero, he had lost all of his strategy and in the process, lost his plane.

Aside from that intentional crash, I had a kill and assist in the match. I can see why Magz likes the plane so much.

Alright. Tomorrow, after school, I'm getting on WT and I'm going to make some progress on the H1 Tiger even if it kills me.

"PBJ-1H pilot is unconscious"

The plane kept flying even after I registered that damage on it. It wasn't until I went vertical, looped around and hit it again to set its engines on fire that I got the kill... But not before it hit the ground. :banghead:

Bombers have 2 pilots.

I must be very unlucky when I fly bombers then because I've always been taken out of the battle with one pilot being killed.
I think Pe-2/3 series have single pilot which I did got my pilot killed from enemy planes in many matches.

Dive, torpedo and certain others are single pilot. Most twin or quad engine bombers are two pilots though.

Got the Wirraway from this weekend's event after he first stage of 5, so I guess my luck is turning around. I know I won't be as lucky with the fighter aspect of the challenge since I'm not that great at aimin again. Something in one of the recent mini-updates changed aiming for the worse.

I used the IL-2 as a ground attacker since the requirement is to destroy ground targets. Only took a handful of matches to get "40" in RB with the 3x multiplier for that so I only needed 14 to get the Wirraway.

I am at 15/40 planes shot down for the fighter challenge which grants the premium US captured KI-43. That also has 5 stages and guaranteed reward for both planes is at 200 kills for each requirement.

Tried the "WWII chronicles" event in RB. Japan's queue is too long to wait, so joined on the US side. Took a Wildcat, shot down 3 enemies (two Zeros and one F1M biplane) but was blasted anyway, and my team was flushed out, too. The balance sucks in these events. :grumpy:

Well the balance was off IRL. The US only won Midway because of a few poor choices from Nagumo.

I don't even know why I bother flying American planes.

Edit: Maybe I was just not in the right plane. First 3 flights with the F4U-1a netted me 4 kills.

Later planes are really good if used right. Corsairs onwards are good planes. Also the F6F but I personally don't like it and can never do well with it but plenty of people do.

It also doesn't help when the other players tend to do stupid things. I got killed in a match last night after watching my entire team swarm a Russian B25, leaving me to deal with the rest of the Russian team. Or I'll side climb and somehow run into the entire enemy team while the rest of the team went right down the middle and encountered no one.

Even got called names last night in a match after putting a burst into a Stuka, looping off of it to line up another pass on it and in the time that I did, another player swooped on and did damage. So when I returned to finish what I started and did I got called a dick.

Right... P40-E doesn't dive very well. At all. Need to stop climbing with that one...
It doesn't dive well either? Then it is all round junk. I thought that was the 1 thing it was good at. It can't turn, it is slow, it can't climb, it lacks fire-power compared to the planes it faces as they mostly have at least 2 20mm cannons.

Yes, I just found this out doing 300mph in an attempt to catch a plane going after a B-25. I thought it might have been my controls but my controls are not messed up. It wasn't even that steep of a dive but when I tried to pull back to bring the plane back up I got almost no reaction from the elevators, and I hadn't even taken damage.

This was my last, and strangely enough, best game from last night. After dropping my bombs twice, I decided to throw the plane around as a fighter. Should have had 5 kills but on 3 of those, someone in a fighter swooped in to finish off the planes I had set on fire and were in the process of crashing into the ground. Those things happen... :indiff:

So I entered the event today with a Spitfire Vc. I looked at the air targets loadout and thought. Great. HEFI twice followed by HEFSAPI twice. Brilliant.

When I couldn't aim I realised I had missed that there were no tracer rounds in the loadout. :ouch:

Entered the Africa event in SB on American tank (M4A1). I thought the Pz IV F2 will rape everyone with its KwK 40 cannon (and Germans will rule again), but no, the Shermans can bite back, too. Reminded me of the old days when I was slamming tens of Panzers in my T-34 (with F-34 cannon) in RB...

So, I one-shot down an F2, tried to capture their base, but was ambushed by two more, and it took about half a minute to dismantle me. Before taking the second tank, I got into my SBD-3 Dauntless to support the attack, and it was a good decision - a Panzer tried to take our base, but I dropped him a 1000 pound surpise (luckly, my comrades marked his position with artillery, so I could bomb in the right place, even though the trees made it difficult to see him). Returned to the airfield, landed, left the plane* and returned to the battle on my second tank, but my team finished the job already, we won. SB battles depend on players' skills rather than vehicle specs.

* - if you return your plane safely to the base in a ground SB battle and leave it, you'll be able to use it later again, after returning from a tank.

I know, but I thought the Japanese planes are more skill-dependent than American (that are easier to handle the guns - a few Brownings of the same caliber, just point & pull the trigger - unlike the Zeros with small 20mm capacity. Plus, the lack of speed needs you to figure something out against powerful -cats and Corsairs).

I am unsure which plane to fly in the event.
The A6M3 mod 22 or the mod 22 ko.

The ko has better cannons from what I can see but also folding wingtips so a lower dive and g tolerance. Any other differences?

Gah, so many new planes I want to try, and I have no PC or console that could play the game.. :(

Got the Russian premium B25, so now I have a license to print currency in the game. 250/125/75 ground kills needed for it depending on mode, unless you're lucky enough to get it before the 5th stage. The fighter this weekend is the I-16 Type 28. Not bothering with that one as I don't like the I-16.
