When they show the main straight, the cars were going over hills. I don't remember hill at all in the game. Unless it was THAT different in the 70s.

Watch a GT5 replay of Sarthe. The hills will be more apparent. They are hard to perceive whilst driving the car.

FIA being plain stupid again, the flips were clearly related to the CLR design although the FIA decided to blame it on the circuit

I think in the lat 90's the hills on the strait were literally grounded down to make the hills less affective on the cars. That way there will be no more accidents like with the Mercades CLK-GTR's.

The course is very different since the movie was filmed. The mid-straight chicanes were added as well.

Epic movie indeed. And yes, the hills are there, but as stated before, much less apparent when driving.
