Just checked my memory card info, which as I have said before was kindly supplied by a friend. Unfortunately it doesn't contain the required car for this week... :ouch:

I looked in the GT3 forum and saw where I could win one, and it looks like you can only win it in the Professional League, Gran Turismo All-Stars (and that for a one-in-four chance).

I could either attempt it once and hope to get it or continue to practice GT4P with my newly acquired DFP (which would you choose :P ), so it looks like I'll have to sit this week out :irked:

GoKents, if anyone is in same predicament, can we run a sub-competition for arcade??? Unofficial like???

If not no problems. Someone just PM me if they too don't have required car and want to spin the event in the Arcade version...

You should use the "save and load" trick:

1-Drive the series until you got enough point to win.
2-Save before the last race.
3-Enter the last race and exit it immediately.
4-Check the prize car. If it's not the R390, exit and reload the game.
5-Enter the last race and exit it immediately.
6-Check the prize car. If it's not the R390, exit and reload the game.
7-Etc...etc..
8-When you win the R390, just save the game.

Nice and easy, and no need for hoping. :D

This combo would be like cracking open a nutshell with a sledge hammer :D. I keep forgetting to submit times. Guess its b/c of all the exams coming up. I will do my best to remember.

That's right.

Another very good reason to buy an X-Port. 👍

That another reason is probably proof for a clean submission ;)
One downside is that when you overlook a mistake in your lap your goodname is ruined. So everytime you put a replay on this forum, you take a risk.
I know a x-port or max-drive isn't obligate but it doesn't hurt to own one.
(just my opinion)

Up to Midfield with my rocket nissan.

Actually,
The rep of any racer posting with a replay device is never ruined by a mistake, especially with mistakes.

Plenty of people have done it before. ;)

With a single mistake you can make up for it by posting legit replays over and over... Tons before, tons after... Trust me, just one mistake is never enough to ruin you.

Also, all the reasons mentioned by you guys have been the key reasons for buying a replay device.
Unlimited access to anything in the game, in combo with verification of races and what you end up with is a great blessing for all racers. 👍

I encourage all of you to get a replay device.

Well,
Until I get around to my ps2, have fun with the race and good luck. :D

I won't tell you want time I finally got to bed this morning, but I can tell you that I now have a Nissan R390 GT1 LM Race Car...

Now that's determination 👍

I completely forgot about last weeks race, although I was horribly off pace anyways. This week I probably will be too, but at least I'll have fun...

Here are my crappy times :(
Lap1
T1-21.715
T2-38.632

Lap2
T1-16.172
T2-33.254
Anyone else notice launching in second gear is much faster than launching in first.

Just curious, but when the cars all run in how much hp are we talking??? I'm at 1205 after turbo's added and oil changed with no running as yet...

well, im unable to run this week, as i have no r390gt1, in fact i havnt driven a sim version ever in gt3. this week i will hone my rusty skills and next week im in for sure 👍

Prize cars are already broken in so 1205 will be the max HP.

If you have a sharkport or maxdrive you can download my race garage, it has all the cars in in so you don't have to stay up all night winning one.:)

I'll skip this race. I hate Midfield, and yet it seems to be used over and over in the WRS. Sucks to be me!

Thanx for the offer of the garage CFM, but unfortunately I don't have a Sharkport or MaxDrive, nor have I ever seen one...

I only got my PS2 around 4-5 months ago, when I read that GT4 was gonna include the Nurb', at the time I'd just finished a HP, and to lure me back into one, the store offered me a NZ$4000 12 months interest free - 36 month payment scheme... (I must buy too much stuff!!!)

So I said I'll have... PS2, GT4P, GT3 A-Spec, CMR '04, F1 '04, SOCOM II, 2x Memory Cards, Vertical stand, and a DFP. (Well that was my PS2 stuff anyway... ;) )

I wont attend either this week.To bad, but Ill come back stronger.

Hellnback: Great to hear you went to hell-n-back to get the r390
I would lend you mine, its just past 300km...

I always thought the r390, was a hit in gt2; with to LM versions and the "road" car in two colors. But OK its a beautiful car!! Never drove it much in gt3.
Good Luck fellas!

This is more a question of not getting killed, rather than finding the lines. :scared:

First session:

21.703-38.643
16.257-33.182

@ Luxy: 37.960-71.825 if you wanna add them, at your leaderboard. 👍

Leaderboard updated :)

No need to add up the laps, I just enter them in individually, and the computer does the math :sly:

T1 21.951
T2 39.271

T1 15.977
T2 32.941

And I landed safe.

After a quick setting change i've done something like this:.

lap1 T1-21.861 T2-38.276
lap2 T1-16.164 T2-32.590
i need to improve on the T1, and stop losing time on the last tunel entrance:ouch:

Weird, my car has 1130bhp, with about 800 miles on it. Ill go check make sure ive gto everything. But the only engine upgrade u can do is the NA or Turbo on the race cars.

Update
Lap 1
T1-21.902
T2-38.550

Lap2
T1-16.047
T2-32.994

The more I drive this race the more I like it.Great Car.Great track.Perfect combo.

E30 Evo Sport: It looks like you need an oil change. Either that, or your car has lost horsepower from being driven so much.

Couldn't pass up a quick run around Middy. :D

This car sucks though, never driven it before (didn't have settings saved for it). :yuck:

I'm terrible at starts and multi lappers as well. :dunce:

Spent about 30 minutes getting it to do what I wanted it to, most of the time anyways.
Best free run splits were: 15.691 / 32.106 👍
Spent 15-20 minutes on the race.
Best and most likely the time I'll submit:
21.736 / 38.065
15.794 / 32.328
Screwed up the turn before T2 AND the hairpin in my final lap. 👎
