GT5p nor anything on a ''games console'' are not simulators.
r-factor, gtr-2 are simulators.
Whay is GT not a sim?

You might say because nowhere in the world are completely stock road-cars raced against each other, except in Best Motoring video's. It's one reason that I can't wait for the FULL GT5 so I can drive some proper racing cars again.

I've just fired up GT5P and played it for 10 minutes and I've had to switch it off.
It's like watching paint dry.
Check out the suspension on one of the Ferrarris, I can't remember which off hand (think its the F430), it doesn't act the same as any of the other cars in the game. For a simulation to be a simulation, I'd assume that the same rules would have to apply to all cars, not just some.
My Sierra XR suspension doesn't behave like my Mondeo Estate... does that mean its not a real car?
Dammit!
You attempted a translation from English into English? Bloody hell your bright aren't you?lol... this comment has made my day
I attempted a translation into English, which was quite tricky so bear with me on this one. Now given what I know of such things thus far, the closest approximation I can safely say is 90% accurate is:
"I am crap at it."
Possibly with the suffix of "..because it isn't an overproduced frenetic nobrain crash fest" but I may have overdone it with that bit and spoiled the joke.
Dammit!
This is starting to look like YouTube when it comes to the quality of comments.![]()

Gentlemen... take one each. Let's do this properly.
Why? I don't know, because it has never been explained. In past games, you have been able to unrealistically modify a large variety of cars beyond what would be actually possible in real life. It seems a little silly, that I can't lower the the front of the car by even one millimetre.
you have also unwittingly, hit upon yet another flaw in the simulation. As you have stated, your Sierra XR doesnt behave like a mondeo Estate, and that same thinking can be appleid to the game itself.
How can I have the same setup options for a Focus ST as I can for a Formula one car? One is a production car, whilst the other is a custom built race car. Surely there should be a wealth of tuning options for the Formula one car, whilst the Focus ST would have a very limited set?
Merry Christmas All!
I'll take refuge in the fact that I was not needlessly abusive, merely sarcastic.
Forgive the assumptions but since it takes more than 10 minutes to do some of the races.... you see my thinking? No? oh well... you are at least secure in the knowledge that my lap times are below average, cos that mAkz m3 tHIk and invalidates my right to have an opinion
You have fun now y'hear? Stella always lubricates these situations with such overwhelming diplomatic verve. But you can ignore me; I am after all childish and pointless.
And yes, well spotted - I do like to play devil's advocate when it comes to the demands we make regarding GT5P. Its an amusing debate.. at least until someone gets carried away by taking something too personally

No hard feelings - we will have to have a race together when we get private rooms.👍
Have a good Chrimbo.![]()
Thats why GT is a driving simulator not a racing simulator.
Talk about semantics! Why, then, are there races in it? If its only a driving simulator there should only be time-trials or "trackday"-style events.
