But in the end, there reads 'real driving simulator' on the Game. RBE, and 3 lap races have/had nothing to do with simulating... same goes to grid-system. It causes so much troubles when slower cars are in front, and there is no real race-series with that kind of stupidity.
...

That's not entirely true. In WTCC, the top 8 results of the first race are reversed for starting order of the second race on every week-end. Makes for interesting races with overtaking, so I do see the point in putting the slower cars in front. I totally agree to the rest of your post though.

...but WTCC cars are very equal to eachothers, it's quite much about drivers being few tenths slower by lap there.

I'm meaning about like me and many other GTP's like to race with RWD 500PP in Fuji, and RWD 600PP in Daytona. It causes total destruction when those all 4WD's wants to pass us immediately ofcourse, and without any manners. If we could start from the back of the pack, like slower cars does in GT-series example, we would have much more fun and everybody else too.

It would also stop that PP-strategy what some guys does... they lower their PP by 1 or 2 points, cause they want to win so badly.

Our grid could range from someone that has never played a racing game, driven a car and is 5 years old to a totally dominant racer. WTCC drivers are all bloody good. Silly point.

Well, I'm sure that PD did not foresee people racing a lot below the maximum PPs allowed ON PURPOSE. I sure hope though that it will be possible to create your own kind of online races in GT5. That will solve all those problems. However, I'm just saying I do see their point in having to decide for one particular (simple) process in what still is a demo(!) and what we have in GT5P might well be a good compromise.

From first lines of your post, we can easily move to next issue... why they put people to race events like Fuji 550PP with N3 tyres, if they assume people to tune their cars to max PP.

It's not very realistic. Why anybody wanted to race with high-powered and light-modelled RWD car with N3 tyres? N means Normal tyres if I'm correct, and
if youre racing with car which weights something like 1200kg, and have over 400hp, you definetly dont use Normal tyres then.

That's why that event is full of 4WD's.

Me and some of other GTP's just want realistic simulation of racing, and 500PP is much closer that.

I havent raced it yet but i think they did it because it would be a challenge to control the cars.

I keep on checking this website and the offical Gran Turismo website for news of a possible update for Christmas and I can't belive nothing has been announced yet - come on PD pull your finger out and give us somthing to play with over the Christmas period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was talking about the big difference in driver ability.

As all drivers are damn good in touring cars, putting the fastest racers from the first race behind the slowest will make for an interesting second race.

If that suystem is not in place, the slowest drivers / classes start further back.

In the end of all this discusion if they dont have the choices in private rooms like Forza 2 Online will be utter crap. You will still have the dominent cars but in forza if the host didnt want you to use it he'd ask for you to change and if you didnt he'd kick you.

Well GT5 will definatly have private rooms but kaz said they are not 100% sure it will be in GT5P.

New online events coming December 25th. All professional events are non-handicapped.

non-handicapped, does this means will have no limits in PP?
or are they just meaning no RBE, cause that's already the case
since last events change...

would be cool no PP, on the other side i think we'll see a lot
of Ford GT/GT, let's wait and see.

Sorry, don't think this we'll be possible cause everybody would
take the F2007, or they have to exclude this car...

Good question, that point of view did not cross on my mind... hmmm... I think it means RBE. I think they just wanted to make sure to us, that they will keep this good improve to continue. I understand handicap more like RBE, than PP-restriction.

maybe fixed PP but within this PP complete freedom of car/tune and tyre

I'll be very surprised if we see anything new. I strongly believe the Spec III update was the big, life changing, update. I'm not complaining though, I still manage to have a lot of fun in GT5P.

You´re right. It´s nice, but it´s a little bit boring with only 6 tracks.

On the other hand for X360 comes (Beginning of 2009) RacePro from Simbin. From one of the best simulator games manufacturer. PD MUST do something.

I've just fired up GT5P and played it for 10 minutes and I've had to switch it off.

It's like watching paint dry.

PD have nothing to worry about, who wants to play a sim with a controller because the only 360 wheel is crap and it only has 15 tracks.

Did you actually start the game

xbox 360 does not support g25 so neither will Race pro.

There are several forums, that it will support. Other games from Simbin does it.

I hope not for x360, too :)

Them they´ll have a very good race sim...

On topic:
PD MUST GIVE SOMETHING

RacePro will fully support g25 wheel.
15 tracks original + DLC

Nope no support for the G25 and MS set the DLC price wich are are mostly 800 - 1200 MS points for 3 tracks = very expensive.
