Weekend/EST Super GT - My Lounge Tuesday 8:30pm

I've noticed that alot of people are really enthusiastic about Super GT.
Unfortunately it appears as if most of the Super GT leagues and lobbies are in either Pacific Time or GMT.

So what I am proposing is a weekend Super GT race series so us working stiffs can get in on some clean racing as well. I'll be making lobbies in the evenings EST time and weekends for folks to get in to start with. Hopefully, we'll get some interest and I can get a real race series going come february.

Feel free to add me GTP_SOHNVONSTIG or post here if you are interested.

By the way, you dont HAVE to be east coast to sign up :D Everyone's welcome.

My Lounge will be open for the first organized pre-season race tonight saturday January 22.

Qualifying will commence at 8pm and official race start will be 9pm EST.

Qualifying will be run in the form of an hour long free run. Feel free to change cars during the qualifying hour but make sure to have your final car choice by 8:45pm

The race will be run at Suzuka Circuit as a combined GT500 and Gt300 race. Run whatever car you would like but make sure to keep it stock.

As stated before, tires will be unrestricted and NO modifying your cars. Obviously you may tune the suspension, transmission etc.

I will be sending out 2 PSN messages later in the day reminding everyone of the event.

If anyone isn't my friend yet my PSN is GTP_SOHNVONSTIG (Yes I know it's long, and I'm sorry its in german)

Also we will be sticking as close to the real restrictions as possible (within reason obviously)

Just got my 1st Super GT car in GT5 this week. I'm a working stiff in EST and would love to participate in some online races.

PSN is mcartt11, but I am hoping to get a GTP_ one soon.

I'm in... I kinda missed out on the other, Super GT race going on. I have 3 GT300 cars. I want a gt500 car... Anyone willing to trade for one... All have maybe 30 to 40 miles on them.. I have the Suburu thats up for trade.. Let me know

Never tried the super GT's but man they do look cool.

I'm quite interested! Working stiff in Central Indiana here, we are either EST or CST, but close enough. I work 7-4 m-f so the best times for me are evenings (except wednesdays - poker night) if we start by 8pm. Weekends are usually fairly open except for around 2pm on Saturday's as thats when my Kart League races.

I don't have any Super GT cars yet, but have plenty of CR's to buy one. Are these premium cars with cockpit view? Where's the best place to find one?

I'll be opening my lounge tonight at 8:30pm EST (GMT-5) for some meet and greet time.

Things to remember:
Please keep your SuperGT (either GT500 or GT300) car stock.
Oil change always helps
I'm thinking no tire restriction so buy those Racing Softs
If you have a mic bring it!

If I haven't added you yet on psn I'll be doing so tonight before I open my lounge.

Any phone bluetooth will work rather well actually, but I bought the official sony one and it's fantastic for both my ps3 and my droid.
 
Awesome man! 👍 I'll be there tonight! :) :)

And yeah, any Bluetooth headset is perfect for using as a mic! :) just make sure to adjust the mic-volume within the PS3 XMB settings under accessory settings... That way, others won't get your feedback from your tv speakers/surround sound! ;)

See y'all there tonight! 👍 I will have both an arsenal of GT300 and 500 cars to use, so I'll be flexible for hot laps, etc.. ;)
 
Sounds great!! Please add me! I will be home from work at 8:15 EST. I see it says please keep stock but in this game there could be a 50hp difference between cars in stock form. Will there be a horsepower limit? Skid recovery? Penalty? I understand this is for fun but those things really matter.
 
^ hp limit, yes! SuperGT cars, are to be BONE STOCK with no power-adders/extra up than what comes stock.

OK, I guess we will just see how it goes. A Hp cap would be nice just to make sure no one cheats though. 512 hp is usually fair and allows for oil changes. Either way, I'm in. Just like to have fair races.

I'll be setting the HP limit to 500, unfortunately that means we'll just have to trust the GT300ers. I play with SRF off all the time, but let me know if anyone objects (we may have to hold a mob vote)

Regarding penalties, I prefer to play with them off and just drive clean. Personally I don't like seeing a car careening at me and then it suddenly turns into a ghost. Nine times out of ten I brace for impact by trying to glance off and end up going straight through them....into grass...or a wall...

Oh and supra, based on your teams skills I look forward to seeing one mean tune on whatever you're running.
 
Sounds good. I agree about the ghost cars, I do the same thing and it messes me up. What is the correct hp for gt300?
