Weekend/EST Super GT - My Lounge Tuesday 8:30pm

Well, actually I am the slowest skills member,lol. The only thing I tune is downforce, ride height, and final drive.

The limits are indicated by their class: GT500 is 500hp and GT300 is 300hp.
However, I'm not sure whether that is bhp or wheel hp and neither do I know which measurement GT5 actually gives us :D
So basically everyone, bring out your stock cars and I'll set the limit at something reasonable. :)

Well since SuperGT is all about the tune, I know you'll be ahead of me as I dont tune anything :D

I'm quite interested! Working stiff in Central Indiana here, we are either EST or CST, but close enough. I work 7-4 m-f so the best times for me are evenings (except wednesdays - poker night) if we start by 8pm. Weekends are usually fairly open except for around 2pm on Saturday's as thats when my Kart League races.

I don't have any Super GT cars yet, but have plenty of CR's to buy one. Are these premium cars with cockpit view? Where's the best place to find one?

You can find them either at the online used cars or the new car dealers, usually Nissan GT-r's, Honda NSX's and Toyota, oh and also Lexus. New they are around 950,000cr and about 450-500hp.

Called Calsonic, Yellowhat, Epson, Raybrig, Xanavi and Tom's

Sorry, I'm out guy's. All my gt500 cars have between 505 and 512 hp cause I've driven them so much. The way the hp goes up and down in this game makes it tough to keep a car at a certain spec. As for gt300 I'm not sure what I got. But thanks for your comments and answers. Good luck, I'm sure it will be fun! It figures, when I finally find a lobby that I think I will like, my cars don't make the spec. That's my luck.
 
I'll be there, but I'll mention that although my GT300 cars are bone stock, they all have a lot more than 300hp after breaking in. The Subaru and the Lexus have ~333, the RX7 has ~337, and the Garaiya goes all the way up to 352 if I recall. These are just the premium ones.

It's literally not possible to have these cars under 300hp if you've been driving them for a bit. I really wish PD had given us restrictors to reduce the power on cars, but that's what we're stuck with.

The same applies to most of the GT500 cars.

Please keep your SuperGT (either GT500 or GT300) car stock.
Oil change always helps
I'm thinking no tire restriction so buy those Racing Softs

There's a gt500 supra in the recommended lot you can use if you'd like.

BTW I'm running a bit late, so lounge is open but I won't be there for like 15 mins. Sorry. I'll friend everyone else when I come back.

NO HP limit right now, but keep em stock and running near 500 and 300. Supra 507 is fine.

So what will the HP limit be? My Xanani Z makes about 521. Not that I have to use that car, as I have most all of the others. But are they going to be banned?
 
You'll be fine. We're running 534 limit right now.
 
Sorry I missed it last night, weeknights are a challenge with getting home from work and dealing with a wife and a 1 year old. I was in the game but away as B-Spec'ing the 24 Hour race.

I'm looking forward to going car shopping tonight! I've been wanting a Super GT car but haven't had a reason to buy one yet. I did run the A-Spec Super GT race but I had another car that qualified and won it. I have been saving my money just in case a reason came around though!

With the two different powered cars (300ish and 500ish) do we need to start taking a tally of who has what so we can make sure we have a good balance? I presume each will be running in it's own class with similar cars (like a Le Mans race) and I like that idea. But, it could be lame if most people had the 500's and only 2 or 3 had the lower powered 300's.
So, on that thought I might hold off on my purchase until we figure out if we need more 300's or more 500's.
 
I was on for a little while last night before I got booted out and then I got sidetracked working on some races in A-Spec and didn't didn't back in the room. Was there a good turnout?

What were some of the times that were being turned? I think there was a low lap of around 2:02 on Suzuka during the time I was on.

I was running the Cusco GT300 car and was well off the 2:02 pace. Several reasons not the least of which is that I am just not very fast to begin with and then Suzuka isn't one of my better tracks. Also didn't have a tranny set up for the long higher speed sections.

Will there be any more racing this week?

I'll be opening up my lounge again later this week. In the meantime, do you guys have any preferences for how the race series should be run?

If it were on saturday every week would enough people be able to make it so there could be an actual points race? Or should we just go race by race.
 
Yeah man, i think the fastest was a 1:56.xxx..
I was running consistent 1:59's and 2:00's there for a little bit until my tires started going.. :) lol

But yeah, had a good time last night fellas, thanks! 👍
 
I voted for a weekly points race on Saturday's, the only condition is that it would have to be after 3 or 4 pm because I'm in a karting league race at 2 pm on Saturday's. But Sunday's are fine for me any time if that works better for the rest of the group.

Holy smokes, these are different to drive. This will take some seat time to get this car down. Bought an Epson for the 1st time, go ahead and add my PSN Rsection8. I'll give it a try.
 
The best GT500 time was a 1:55.346 last night posted by Choate61 in Xanavi Nismo I believe. By the way we were running suzuka. During the race the winners were around 2 mins on each lap.

Add about 10 seconds or so for GT300 (maybe less).

By the way, if we do in fact do a Points Race, anyone can compete on a week to week basis. IE you dont have to attend every race.

I don't really do the trading bit, but if this gets big enough I might throw in some incentive for race wins and the series podium.

Also, if you do a points based series, make sure to give seperate ranking per HP classes, show us GT300 guys some love lol.
