Looks interesting the new week .
Just make a race with the new BX at 470pp with SS tyres at willow.
Couldn't win and took second place using Van Der something to turn at the last turn 😂 .

From all the cars i try at the willow historical race the most Complete cars was the two M3 from 89 .
The Evo and the single one , you just put SS tyres and are 515 -519 pp and are very elegant and nice driving cars.
Of course they are faster cars ,more or less difficult to ride or enjoy but those two BMW's need a special mention.
If you didn't ride them , there's still enough time to find out what i mean , put SS tyres and the pedal to the metal.

I second that. The M3 E30 Evo not only fits into a category I like to call "great out of the box cars" but also it is one of the best cars in the game.

Been in love with it since the online time trial at Red Bull Ring short last year.

I didn't have it in mind but it's great car for such a category of races .
i really impressed how handful that car was.

Decent week, new race and a new one-make. Sunday Cup is harder than I expected because it's only 2 laps and some of the AI cars are pretty quick, if the Civic starts in first it's hard to win with a car at the suggested PP. BX one-make can be won in a stock car, probably because the AI isn't all that strong around that track, really fun car to drive though. VGT is easy enough, especially if the Porsche gets stuck behind other cars, FT-1 was quick enough with the huge corner speed advantage. Ferrari Challenge is at a track I really enjoy driving, ended up using the Gr.4 car because I can't remember using it for one of those races. Turned out to be quite easy but still fun to drive, just have to watch for the cars on CS tyres if you're on RH. WTC 800 at Suzuka is always interesting with the weather, for me it rained hard on lap 5 so I switched to IM for two laps then back to RH. Some of the AI went with the same strategy but ran an extra lap on IM, others stayed out on RH and lost a lot of time. Won by about 25 seconds with a 800 PP Huayra, nice car to drive and has the pace to win without any rain.

1. I was considering the new 2008, but I would have needed to upgrade it. I went with the Mazda Atenza instead, I barely managed to get first, despite it being near the recommended PP
2. For the BX one make, I used, of course, the BX. I tried to make it as close to the 16V output as possible. Again, first, despite a understeer incident at final corner.
3. For VGT Trophy, I used the Suzuki VGT GR.3. Despite a lack of speed, it more than made up for in cornering, making for a interesting battle with the Genesis VGT
4. For Ferrari Circuit Challenge, I used the 458 GT3. It worked surprisingly well.
5. For WTC 800, In the spirit of the event, I used the NSX GT3, I would normally use the 787B, but decided to try following the intended spec.

Using the money, I brought the 300 SL.

Four down (hard difficulty)...

weekly-challenge-202506w4-r1.jpg

Willow Springs - Mazda Atenza Sedan XD L Package '15 - This took a couple attempts. On the first, I kept the car on the CM tires since it was already very close to the suggested PP. Didn't know the track well enough to push anywhere. Could only manage a P5. For the second attempt, I upgraded to SS tires. Easy win. First ticket obtained.

Dragon Trail - Citreon BC 19 TRS '87 - I upgraded the tires to CS for this one. Managed a P3. Good enough for the second check mark.

Tokyo Expressway - Mazda LM55 VGT - The only hard thing about this race was getting the car under the 850 PP limit. Switched to RH tires, restricted power, and added ballast. Easy win. Second ticket obtained.

Lago Maggiore - Ferrari F430 '06 - This was a fun race. I upgraded the tires to SS. Only caught the leader on the final lap and got by in the last few corners. Fourth box checked.

Ive only tried three races this far, completed two (because I won't finish if there's been contact), and boy did two of them suck. Streets of Willow is bad enough in the normal direction but at least just about all the corners aren't blind and/or with a tightening radius, and the AI doesn't seem to know it any better judging by the amount of brake light disco. And the VGTs... the AI has nowhere enough skill to drive them and as a result it looks like they're having some kind of a stroke while cornering (I've had one, I have every right to say, and I drove better than that a week after) which makes clean overtaking just about impossible.

This week’s cars selection for the Weekly Challenges

1. Toyota Trueno GT APEX - 480PP (just flexing its legs 😎🔥)

In regards to the AI I found the BX race worst. Despite running on CS tires they're hardly able to control their cars and no matter which side you try to pass, they will throw their iron on you. It's a nightmare ... 🙈

All wins on hard difficulty:
1. Suzuki Jimney XC '18 - 400pp,CS
2. Citroen BX19 TRS '87 - 383pp,CS
3. Audi e-tron VGT - 850pp,RM
4. Ferrari 458 Italia '09 - 675pp,SS
5. Mazda LM55 VGT (Gr.1) - 800pp,RH,no rain,no pit stop

Suzuki, Ferrari and Mazda have tunes by @praiano63.

I have completed the weeklies very quickly this time, having stayed awake for midnight to roll around, mercifully I got to use 2* of the cars in the update! (*I'm counting the GT-R LM due to it's updates) With the following vehicles;
Screenshot_2025-06-27-02-12-22-587.jpeg

  1. Fully tuned NA Jeep on CS tyres - don't be fooled by it's miniscule power level, it can more than hold it's own around the corners of willows, this one was a riot to chuck around, I did at first plan to use the 2008 buuút I didn't know how to best drive the tub of lard at the time, so I went with the jeep instead something similarly silly - turns out only having four gears helped! Got first place by the final corner.

  2. 400pp lightly tuned Citroën BX on CS tyres - the first of the new vehicles being put through the paces in a weekly - and honestly it's a joy to chuck about, superbly light but fun around the corners of dragontrail. Though 400pp might actually been a bit overkill despite matching the tyres of the opponent BX's - got first place by the first half of lap 2

  3. Jaguar VGT roadster on RH tyres - this one was probably a little harder than it should have been due to it's brakes that do not compensate for it's raw acceleration, so this race was a tad scruffy but doable, got first place after the hairpin on the final lap..just had to be patient with this one and overtake on good opportunities.

  4. 700pp lightly modified Ferrari 458 on SM tyres - my experience with this car prior to now was one of abject terror as it was awful in prior GT games personally, but now it felt fine and quite eager to please, with it's damn newr 10k revving engine it screamed into first place by lap 4 and never looked back, I was only able to use SM tyres due to the opposing F8, otherwise I would've had to contend with SH tyres (as I like to keep tyre parity with the AI unless an event stresses me out too much)

  5. Down tuned 800pp Nissan GT-R LM on RH tyres - prior to the update this would've been a disaster of cosmic embarrassment but now it's hybrid delivery has been tweaked the way it is, it actually has a chance now even down here in WTC800...so I wanted to try that....and by the time I started this race it was 1:30am so I also wanted to do it as fast as possible....so I did a no stop with this quirky car - mercifully the tyres and fuel lasted the whole race...even if my front tyres were begging for a rest by the finish line, secured first place by about lap 6-7? And completed every event in the weekly.
All in all a pretty fun weekly set of events this time, and relatively stress free!

Sunday Cup: Peugeot 205 GTi. The definition of a sunday drive (assuming the AI aren't being the AI)
Vision Gran Turismo Trophy: Lexus LF-LC GT. With the power of racing slicks, downforce, God and Anime on my side, the incompetent AI never stood a chance even on the hardest setting.
Ferrari Circuit Challenge: Ferrari 458 Italia. The Challenge Build as usual being overpowered, feeling less bitey then usual
World Touring Car 800: Mercedes AMG GT3 '20. Figured I'd give it a non-Spa related Cosplay since its so fun to drive.
Citroen BX One-Make: Might need to do abit more driving but its certainly a car. Not too much modification, just enough to give a tiny bit more bite.

Complete the weeklies today .
I lost CRB at suzuka holding my self back for 2 laps ( 3-4 lap ) to avoid the traffic and went out after getting the first place 🤣
I was on TSO 030 FM3 non stop race and hopefully didn't have any rain .

Also i should loose the CRB with Ferrari ( went out track limits ) but i took it .

I stuck with Tokyo which is hateful track for me and needed a second time run to get the CRB .
Somehow i decided to use as many of that crappy EV and not, VGT's .

Romero's VGT is the faster in straight line till now but the best and more free wall enjoyable ride was the AUDi E tron period .
Have the most balanced behaviour from everything i try till now .
Also was the only VGT that i could finish the race without touching any wall and stay calm and confident.
Can lap under 1.50 ( 1.47's usually my best laps ) which are more than enough to put Romero behind you and i guess is enough and for hard level .
Except the slower ones ill try to put some miles to the other VGT's that collecting dust in my garage.
