This week selection:

-Mazda Roadster ND for FR japanese race in Maggiore: As my MX-5 wasn't fullly tunned it was a tense and fun race, won and CRB obtained
-Citroen BX for one make in Saint Croix: Second race in a row on one of my favorite tracks, easy win with CRB
- Cappuccino at Nurburgring for K lightweight: Fun race, rain make the ecent always special, won by 2 seconds and this time no CRB.
-Ferrari 430 for ferrari challenge at Dragon Trail: I always use this 430 as it has the correct tunning for most of the tracks, essy win with CRB included
-Ford Focis Gr.B for rally.challenge in Trial mountain: I won and is the only thing I will remember from this racw (and the awful 65K credits for a.over 20 minutes race...) no CRB

For the 6 stars car ticket I got an Audi RS5 DTM but it was the 3rd on my garage.so I sold it for 490K credits

Thanks for bringing up this scape. I’m going to carry the discussion to the prediction thread. ;)

yeah its ridiculous, the AI's main aim is to be where they assume you will be in regard to the apex for each corner.
but its fun to come up behind them, sitting just to one side, then cut to the opposite side to make the pass & then watch them react in your mirror, sometimes they run themselves off track..

Sophy should be on every track by now.
I think it's all part of the plan, along with the rabbit-chase scenario. Maximum dopamine extraction when you get the chance to overtake cars going slower than yours.

Polyphony have been doing biochemical manipulation waay longer than Tik Tok or Instagram!

So I did the WC on Sunday but I haven't taken time to post. I started out with 98 Impreza at Trial Mountain but the back was a little too loose for this track so I switched to the Audi which should have been even worse but I am used to driving it so it worked out. I used my 700 pp build which meant I was able to use RH and FM6. The Grp B Ai was terrible as they would all spin out in the curve before the long tunnel.

Next I grabbed a stock 458 for the Ferrari challenge. It was fine in the corners but I didn't like it had enough top speed so I switched it out for the LaFerrari because I didn't feel like modding the 458. Easy win. If the LaFerrari battery lasted it little bit longer I would use it more

Next I took my reliable swapped Beat to Germany for some mostly free of road runoffs to the Ring. Halfway through it started raining elephants but I was to dodge the behemoths and the AI to make it to 1st place

Next I decided that French cars should race in France and grabbed my BX for a one make rcae

Finally for the Japanese FR race I grabbed the Carry. It didn't have the top speed of some of the other cars but I sure could get them in the corners. Also the lead Sileighty drove like do when I am trying to catch with a faster car. I got passed a few times heading into the really big curve but the Sileighty would shoot pass me into the dirt to give me my lead back. Since I'm such a nice guy I decided to take the that same curve as far as the Sileighty did on the previous lap and give back the lead. But since they were using my AI clone the Sileighty gave me the lead back in the final lap for the win.

I took my picture of when the Sileighty bumped to the side and ran into the dirt. Got 30k cr from the daily marathon and Mini VGT from the car ticket. I decided to keep it since I don't have one. I think it should work at Tokyo and LeMans

Had a lot of fun yesterday testing the Suzuki Carry around the Nordschleife. Wanted to know what all the saying ( the best no swap Kei car by far ) is about.
So I started the upgrade process and realized that there's an astonishing decrease of PP when mounting an adjustable transmission. Which allows installing the almost complete performance package and still staying well within the race regs.
Without any further tweaks I went to track and yes, the little power bug is actually a great drive. It's got its quirks handling wise but after a while things get predictable and stay well controllable. As for speed, well, that's a bit hard to judge when a massive Eifel downpour comes into play but I've been about 15 sec faster than with any other 400 PP car I tried so far.

Highspeed chase to Aremberg

The second item on my agenda was another stock challenge.
Wanted to know whether a full stock 458 Italia can win the Dragon Trail Ferrari challenge with CRB at hard difficulty. Doesn't sound very demanding and yes, we had way harder stock challenges recently, but it isn't all easy either. If you can run consistent 1.50 laps for a total of 9.10 there's a chance to win the race, there's no guarantee though. As soon as an F8 or an F12 gets up front it's game over. And of course a bit of luck is needed piloting around and through the slower AI.
As always #rjruns #stockchallenge ...

Stock challenge : Check !

Better to test in time trial if you really wanna know. But you may not be way off, IIRC the Carry was about 10-15 seconds faster than the Cappuccino for me. I'm not sure about the rest of the ranking, but I think the Jimny came in third and the N-One was the slowest. Most fun to drive though was the Beat.
Disclaimer: This test was rather just for fun (only 1 or 2 laps per car) and the tuning rather basic (no custom gear ratios and suspension settings).

Sorry I'm late the party this week. Life got in the way

First race I used a stock Fairlady Z 432 '69. 1st place CRB. Good challenge.

2nd race in a stock Citroen BX was too difficult for me to get a win and the CRB. I settled for 3rd with a CRB.

3rd race was in a stock Cappuccino. Again, very hard to get a win so I settled for 2nd place with CRB.

4th race I used a stock 458 Italia. Another good challenge getting to 1st with CRB.

5th race was my favorite. I started with a stock Delta HF Integrale '92 because it's so fun to drive but I won by 14 seconds so it wasn't challenging enough.

So I tried a stock Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car (ST205) '95. Now this is a fun challenge. No-pit strategy. FM1 all the way. Just need to short shift at 6k RPM.
Once you pass everyone in the pits it's a real battle to stay in front as the other cars will catch up. Especially when your front right tire is about to expire.

Thanks for that, I'll try it! What's your overall time?

EDIT: I bought a fresh Carry and did all your mods and got the exact same specs. The only thing I had to change was the trans to 170, everything else came out exact. I even tried to find your livery, but couldn't, so I got as close as I could.

First, I applaud you for being able to drive this thing! It handles terribly IMO, and was more like work instead of driving. I can see where it's faster in certain situations, but I can't imagine it's faster overall than the S660 (aliens maybe?). I really wanted to post a good time for you, but it was so difficult to drive that when the rain started it was just game over. Sorry about that. You should try my S660 :)

What lap times were you doing in this? I did give it a quick try a few days back but the tyre wear was a big issue on controller and pace wise it didn't add up if I had to pit.

Not sure about the race tbh. In Time Trial I did 8:47, but I don't consider myself a very good player, so I'm sure others will be faster.

Sure! Did you already post your tune anywhere?
So I decided to take them both to TT and was absolutely stunned that the Carry was 6 seconds faster...even with a 5mph less top speed on the main straight. Beyond that, my 660 lap was very clean (it's an easy to drive car), and my Carry lap had mistakes.

I'm still not giving up my 660 because I like driving it so much better, but yeah, the Carry is faster.

2:05's on average. Yes tire wear is the main issue. I cooked my front right on the first try and got overtaken by 2 cars on the last lap.

I don't know if this works on controller but I worked out staying in a higher gear on all the left corners helped.

In the corner before the back straight down the tunnel I cut to the far left and hug the inside to get the car as straight as possible before accelerating. The less accelerating while turning the less tire wear.

At the end of that straight I do the same; I come in wide, cut in and put my foot down once I pass the log sticking out on the left. Also, stay in 4th. More traction and less tire wear.

The trick is to carry the speed through each corner in the highest gear that doesn't lose the momentum. Smooth in - smooth out.
I don't know if that is doable on controller but I think it's worth a try.

For fuel as I said change gear at 6k revs but on the back straight there is a hill so I don't change till I get over that which is about 6.5k. Do that every lap and you won't have to worry about running out.

I'll do another run Chase Cam and delta on the screen for those who want to give it a go.

Not doable for me on controller, tyres are dead after 7 laps although the pace until then is fine, was doing low 2:04 for a few then 2:05. I had one try too where even after pitting they came out over 5 seconds ahead despite doing those lap times. Interesting that the Audi pitted on lap 5 for you, always is lap 6 for me, wonder what causes that change.

Also tried the Integrale and that one is really easy to win with, seems to have like half the tyre wear and its at least 3 seconds a lap faster.

Yep it all depends on what script that Audi is on I think.

Also, maybe 2:04s is too fast for the tires? 2:05s should be sufficient.

This was the first Weekly series in the past weeks since I've been busy. Quite easy one this time. Won a Chiron from the 6* ticket.

Always doing the hardest race first, however this one wasn't as hard as anticipated:

Next one to calm down a bit from the rally - BX stock but with RHs:

I was afraid of the Nordschleife as those Kei car races tend to be rather difficult (at least for me), but the Jimny paid out well:

Lago Maggiore was a bit harder using a real 450pp car, got only 2nd on hard difficulty on first attempt:

Last but not least the Ferrari race, way too easy if you ask me (might be due to the car I used):
