Not happy with this week races , don't like dirt and all these Gr1 and single sitters races are abusing my eyes .
Anyway the set is done ,took only 2 CRB and the repeat of GV not only i lost CRB but end up and second 😂 .
Way overpowered the Godzillas and very tight to fit joy in this but if you're looking for trouble you're in the right one 😂
Was that close to change level at GR1 race but choose the super formula ( full aero ) and FM6 most of the time to win it .
I also run a second time with LM55 and FM6 .
Nothing else to declare , i get the " shaft " and a McLaren vgt that sold little above 500k.
That Friday won't last long anyway .

I'm a bit speechless right now ( reason might be the tough Special Event  ) so I'll keep things short.

My only gripe with the LM55 is that in VR you don't see anything on the sides with the wheel arches, and mirrors are quite out of sight too.

For the GT R, you could focus on camber settings, decrease it in the rear, and the power delivery a bit more to the rear with the 4wd controller.
Here's what I've been using:

Thought that because I winged it with my BMW M3 GT4 build after applying a modified version of the M3 GT's setup and it actually working, I could just do the same here with taking the GT-R GT500's Default setup.

Another day, another car, and this time a clean win after a couple of quickly aborted attempts. Noticable differences in AI difficulty in this one too. The first three laps were mostly spent holding back to avoid hitting anything and only the last lap was in any way representative of the car's potential, and even then I was (again) playing it safe for the bonus. It's easily a 1'48 car with any risks taken.

That was fun...

weekly-challenge-202509w3-r1.webp

Tokyo Expressway - Toyota Corolla Levin 1600GT APEX (AE86) '83 - The car was already over the suggested PP so I just ran it stock -- well, aside from the wide body and aero. Easy win.

weekly-challenge-202509w3-r2.webp

Fishermans Ranch - Suzuki VGT - It turns out this car is okay in the dirt. Another easy win.

weekly-challenge-202509w3-r3.webp

Grand Valley - Nissan R32 GT-R V-spec II '94 - It's been ages since I've driven this car. I'd already modded it up to 700PP for some other event. I threw on some RS tires, too, which brought it up to around 720PP. That was just enough. Caught the leader on the final pass through the tunnel for a close win.

weekly-challenge-202509w3-r4.webp

Monza - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR GSR '06 - This took a couple tries. On the first, I went with SS tires and the sport-level upgrades. That didn't quite give me enough top speed for the long straights of Monza. Went back to the tuning store and installed the club-level upgrades. That did the trick. A pretty easy win from there.

weekly-challenge-202509w3-r5.webp

Road Atlanta - Mazda LM55 (Gr.1) - This took a bunch of tries to figure out the strategy and have a race where I didn't bin it mid-way through. I ended up doing a 9RS-8RS-8RS. I was fuel-saving the whole time -- short-shifting at 25% of the rev bar and using FM3 for the first stint, then back down to FM1 for the rest. I was in a fight for the win for the final couple of laps, but I made some mistakes and had to settle for a P2 finish. Still, good fun.

I won a Ford GT '17 from the car ticket. I haven't even bothered redeeming the parts one.

RS tires, Fuel Map 1. Four pit stops.

I pit on every 6th lap. On said inlaps, I short shift and then do the same on the out laps. Then go like hell once I am past the out laps.
I thought it might be something like an "all-out" approach! 😂

I went FM6 on RH, with around 11 minutes between pit-stops.

I guess this is a "tortoise and the hare" scenario. You go as fast as possible on track, which likely gives you more enjoyment but means you need an extra pit stop, where as I go slower on track but only stop twice, giving me a greater lead over the other cars.

I might give this week a miss. Don't fancy kitting out a Skyline for 100k plus just to win one race. The Gr1 and dirt races are pretty crap as well.

Maybe it's because you were on easy difficulty and he was on hard.

I ran the weeklies and they were okay. Only one that I actually enjoyed was the Gr.1 race. However, can we get some yellow flags, PD??? Seriously, some of these AI are going off the track and spinning out back in to the middle of the track. No yellow flags. I ran smack in to the side of the Gr.C Jag as I was cresting the hill after turn 1. No yellow flags, no warning. Just instant death. Anyway, I got 2nd place just 3 seconds behind the leader but that one incident dropped my lap time by 8-9 seconds on that lap so it would have been a win. Ran the 908 HDi FAP stock on FM1 with RS tires. Had to pit fairly often but my lap times were in the 1:07’s.

Not a fan of the GT-R race. Even with full weight reduction and RH tires my R-33 still turned like a pig. I’m not sure how to make these GT-Rs have better turning characteristics. They just feel sluggish through the bends.

Anyway, week over. Got a stage 5 weight reduction for a Hellcat and a Jaguar VGT to sell.

All wins on hard difficulty:
1. Honda CR-V e:HEV EX - Black edition '21 - 381pp.CM,stock
2. Toyota Tundra TRD Pro '19 - swap engine,600pp
3. Nismo 400R '95 - 800pp,SS
4. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR T.M. SCP '99 - 600pp,SM
5. Mazda LM55 VGT (Gr.1) - 950pp,RS,pit stops on laps 9 and 17, 24 laps total
Hyundai N 2025 VGT (Gr.1) - 950pp,RS, pit stops on laps 8 and 16, 25 laps total
All cars except the Honda have tunes by @praiano63.

I had a spin with the Mazda on lap 21 and was only able to complete 24 laps and only won by a few seconds.
By completing 25 laps with the Hyundai, I won by over 30 seconds because the other lead cars pitted.

The two things I did today :

1 Had one more emergency medical intervention at Fisherman's Ranch. This time I had restricted the Himedic to 430 PP and that made for a bit more tension. That's not been the safe win that it was yesterday and it took some laps until I realized there's no room for compromising anymore, it's a make or break run for victory. iirc it's been my fifth attempt that I finally could finish first and receive the bonus.

2 Proud of this ! Did anyone of you try to win the Special Event, cleanly of course, with the 1970 Skyline ? It's been a nerve-racking permanent walk on thin ice that took me two or three hours of practicing on track, fiddling with my car setup and making yoga to keep cool and patient. Since fortune favors the bold, I finally got a slightly slower grid and that was it ! Not the fastest run but for sure the BEST ... Yay.

I tried the grandmother Skyline:

The best that I could manage was 3rd. I ran a maxed out build on Racing Soft tires. The standard engine did not give me enough power to defeat these goons - and neither was I driving with enough skill to best their magic grip and brakes. Ironically, this was my only Clean Race Bonus out of many, many runs.

I'm tempted to try the nuclear engine swap option, though I wonder how much better it will be with all the turbo lag and long braking distance.

Before that, I've been running a swapped R32 on Sports Softs. I started at 700pp, only for the game to graciously give me a field that finished in the 7:12s

Predictably, I bolted on the Medium Turbo, and have been dumping nearly 1000hp into Sports Softs in a petty quest to finish the race in under 7 minutes.

Though the AI magic makes me grumble, I have been enjoying this as a tuning exercise.

Difficulty all races 🌶️🌶️🌶️

* Sunday Cup
The N-One at 200kmh through the tunnels of Tokyo Route. 1st of course

* Rally event
WRX GR B road car - engine swap CTR3 - literally flew past everyone. 1st

* GR 1 prototype
Of course my old PS4 just had to freeze after the race results so I couldn't enjoy the replay - or show in race footage - of the second most exciting weekly race this week.
I forgot this race ended in the dark 😅. Good thing I have decent track knowledge of Road Atlanta. I also ran very low on fuel by the end so I decided to follow behind the R92C which was leading 2nd last lap but then the 908 showed up and I pushed the Super Formula in the last sections taking victory just ahead of them at 0% fuel tank. This was wild. Loved it.
Gran Turismo™ 7_20250921012549.webp

* Monza Evo Meeting
I bought the Evo Final and engine swapped it with the Escudo motor. When they asked me at the service station how much turbo lag I wanted while fitting the engine, I just said "yes of course" 🤷
Here you see me queuing behind the pack, 5 secs later and 100kmh faster than the competition at the end of the straight I took the lead. 1st

* Nissan GTR one make final boss edition

I had a stock R34 spec II nür sitting in the garage waiting for its moment. Good thing I read the info before starting the weekly challenges so I went full on-board with tuning this puppy beyond madness. I engine swapped it with the R92C for 1,1 million credits and then built it proper for the win. I went wild on track too with RS tyres and weight reduction stage 5 , this car is blistering fast, with a right setup and the personal made livery gave it some extra grunt too 😌
1st in the most exciting race this week, by a very good margin.

Did you create the livery for GTR? That's awesome!
I did the 1st 3 races. I had put a livery on a Speed Six so it was eligible for the 1st race so I used it.

Next I grabbed the swapped Mazda 3 and went to the ranch. I don't like that track and got 2nd place

Next I did the GTR race. I used the Z tune at 748pp. Even on easy that race is more difficult than it needs to be. I would have won but I had a bad 1st lap. I came in 2nd by about .5 of a sec. May go back and re-run it. Hopefully I can finish the other 2 tonight

I don't remember exactly how many times i did the GV with the Godzillas.
Even try at easy level but still didn't get the ......CRB .
Finally i took it on normal with a 400R, one time but what really pissed me of is that at hard level i had the larger margin from the second AI and the fastest time overall and was that close to take the damn CRB.
The 400R had the best balance against 02 Nurburg one even if it was slower .
Even worst was the Z one but perhaps am lacking an appropriate tuning for such a light and overpowered animals that refuse to turn no matter what 😂

The Z turns but you have to stop a little sooner to keep the back from endeavoring to be in the front  . You lose some speed in the corners and have o try to make up for it on the straights.

For once, I was able to knock out the Weeklies during the weekend. It was a very Japan heavy week this week.

Sunday Cup: 300SL, stock, fun little race, CRB
Japanese AWD 600: GR Corolla, tuned to 615pp, probably could have won it in a stock one.
GT-R One Make: R92CP swapped R33 GT-R, 754pp, fun race, got P1 on last lap.
Evo Meeting: Evo VIII MR, stock on RHs, needed a bit more power, but still caught the lead pack, finished P2.
Group 1 Prototypes: F3500-A, had a lot of trouble getting used to the downforce and totally forgot about the last 5 minutes being in the dark. Made 2 fuel stops, no tires, ended up winning by ~10 seconds.

The one thing I did today ( seemed quite logical btw ) :
I took a Japanese, professionally tuned 4WD car ( 760 PP R92CP-swapped R32 ) that raced at Grand Valley Highway 1 yesterday

changed SS compound to D, made some minor tweaks to FR power distribution and transmission and went next door to Fisherman's Ranch for a leisure run. Believe me, that's been the broadest smile on my face in a very long time.
