And after watching quite a few of the dailies at CGV, I may have to pass on that one.
The "good" thing about CGV is that's a very good track for cheating. Two chicanes that can be completely cut running full throttle, plus one or two additional corners that can be at least partially cut.

But please don't tell anybody - me of course I won't abuse this track for cheating... :P

Boy, that Yas Marina Gr.3 race is tough. Such a slippery track. It's fun, but the best I can manage is 3rd in a Gr.3 car. Fastest lap I can get is high 1:54's. You have to be so careful with the throttle coming out of those turns, even with traction control turned on.

Invisible barrier update incoming

You talk about current WTC800 ? I was doing 51s in the end with the Audi RS5, and it was my first laps on this track, so I am a bit surprised. What car did you use ?

Lightly delayed, courtesy of how smegging long a 400MB update takes to install on PS4...
5 minute long download, 5 millennia to install. Not to mention how the console handle updates: I had to free 30 gb just for this one and after deleting a 42 gb game it still asked for another 3 gb

I know why this happens, but damn...

On this note, does anyone know if I can delete Snowrunner and still keep my saves? I may need to delete the game, update GT7 and then reinstall Snowrunner :banghead:

Had to dig the Audi DTM "cheat mobile" out this week for its first run in ages, as we finally got a new WTC800 race with the Yas Marina event...

Running the 5 WC events plus bronze awards for Eiger Reverse and Yas Marina got me up to 2m to buy the Espace F1.

Which got me the 6* ticket for the "Seasonal Menu"

Which got me 500k in gold bars

Which means I can buy the Ferrari for next week's events.

I always aim to never exceed minimum effort on an ongoing basis ;)

The RS5 is a Gr.2 car. I was in the new Ferrari 296 Gr.3 car.
Oh hey, I gave that combo a try yesterday (Default settings with only the tires being changed to mediums)

Seems like regardless of what GR.3 car you have, you're best chance of winning is when the Lexus of Fraga and the Ferrari of Hashima aren't starting or get to the front row...or in the case of this attempt, have a car in the lead they themselves can't get around like the Viper of Onagi.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: All Gilles-ed Up

The refreshed Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges are back, beginning on midnight Friday morning in your local time zone, with a familiar feel thanks to this week’s standard event in the special slot...
I see what you did there with the pun

I used my swapped Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evo II for the European FR Challenge 550 @ Lago Maggiore, and I can only describe the suspension as feeling a bit weird - but that's not relevant at the moment. Anyway, I'm planning to use my swapped Renault 5 Turbo for the newly-added round of the European Sunday Cup 400 at Goodwood Circuit, though I'm unsure if I'll do much else for this week's set.

I haven’t paid attention to who the leaders are and I’ve been running on hard tires the few times I’ve tried the race. Best I can get is about 11 seconds off the leaders, so I need to increase my time by over a second per lap on average. Basically, low 1:54’s for the whole race. Maybe I can eek that out on mediums, but my hard tires are starting to check out on laps 8-10. I’m not sure how those mediums will last for the whole race.

Are you on Hard or Normal difficulty?

All of them done within the day.

205 GTI has always been a fun hatch to throw around.

Rallycross is fun.

Even more fun is this K-Car event in Tokyo.

The 296 GTB actually handles well. Trail braking is one way to get this car turning, but to counteract its somewhat unstable braking, the front ride height must be 5 clicks higher than the rear.

Super Formula at CGV. Not doing this again. Not worth my time when AI is just too dumb and blind fishtailing you.

6-star Car Ticket reward.

Honestly, I managed it with Mediums just fine (On the highest difficulty too). They do get abit precarious about lap 8, but they hold on to the end. Managed the same with one of my earlier attempts in the Audi R8 LMS Evo.

More fun week than I expected although a few races can be tricky. Sunday Cup depending on the field seems to require a bit above the 400 PP suggestion but a stock Delta Integrale was enough. Gr.B Rallycross is chaos for the first few laps with the AI but reasonably fun, few weird track limits penalties on this layout though. K-Cup at Tokyo is a fun combo, even more so at night but it does suffer from the same issue as the other K-Cup races with needed a slightly tuned car and having to use CS. 370 PP Jimny was just able to win, they're slow through the chicane and the first sector so you can make a decent amount of time up then sit behind one of them down the straights. One-make I was expecting to need a tuned car but you can do it completely stock, fun car to drive although it's not that suited to this track I feel. Super Formula can be annoying as the AI is really slow in a few spots but you can also get a field where the car that starts on pole has RM and runs 1:24 laps a bunch which makes it hard to catch. I went with RM/RM and pitted on lap 8, as long as you can run 1:22-23 and get past the AI quickly then it's not too bad, won by about 8 seconds. I've also previously done this race and won by 45 seconds so the pace difference between grids is huge.

This weeks cars:
