Had a couple of exams again at the local hospital so there wasn't too much time left for the new challenges. Decided to do the four races only and shift the TT to tomorrow. Some of the cars I used were brand new and though I had detuned them all to what seemed somehow reasonable they all were tougher and stronger than the rest, the races quite easy accordingly. The fun ? ... immense !

Race 1
A new old barn find Barker. Would have been a shame to not take it to town again. CM / 374,60 PP

Race 2
My Evo swapped Mazda 2. In a race with tire wear the front would hardly survive a single lap. CM / 498,40 PP

Race 4
The 911 Turbo S raced at Barcelona last week, took me 1.250 km from Spain to Spa, and raced again. SS / 649,00 PP

Race 5
The Megane is another new entry, equipped with an Espace F1 engine. Super fun and a bit of a warm up for tomorrow. RH / 675,90 PP

N80N8 CU tomorrow ... ;)
Nice to see someone else using cars they have not used before :)

It rained for me pretty bad on my first try, I was on Racing Softs and spun off the track water level icon thing went into the dark blue area, I finished second as it happened on the penultimate lap and I had no grip, the next race when the rain came I went into the pits for Inters only to find I wasn't allowed to pit and change tires but the rain was constant but not that bad so I was able to hold on with the Racing Softs.
i was on sport mediums i use sport tires on tracks with a chance of rain

"Bearman" merely said "Ciao!" to all his adversaries.

Strategy:

Racing Mediums, FM1. Short shift at 13k rpm.

Pit at Lap 5.

This week's weapons:
WTC700-I used my go-to right now for some of these 700's, my swapped Escudo. 2 stops but still won by almost a minute.
The Porsche Cup was a doozie. I haven't done this race in awhile and don't remember if it's rained before. Was merrily going along in my Gr.4 Cayman on RH and the heavens opened on lap 4. Spun 3 times, lost the lead, but managed to salvage 3rd. lol
Special TT was an easy Gold on my second try.
Tokyo was easy in my lightly modded FTO on SS.
Sunday Cup in my lightly modded Carry was another easy one.

The main event for me is the Porsche Cup; went in with the Porsche 911 Turbo Rally and was very rewarding and satisfying! And to make this one quick, all races on Hard Difficulty and won, with the following cars:

1) Sunday Cup Classic - Honda Civic Typer R '97: 499PP on Sports Soft tires; Just enter, run and finish.

2) Japanese FF Challenge 450 Cup - Honda Integra Type R '98: 499PP on Sports Medium tires: Another grab and go. But how I love to rev it up!

3) Porsche Cup - Porsche 911 Turbo Rally Car: 599PP and 627PP on Sports Soft tires; made two runs, details below:

First run was done with a 600PP with 376hp. Had a 3 lap race with Carraza's Yellow GT3 that starts the race at 500PP then suddenly powers up to 650PP instantly, the Turbo Rally at this tune was able to brake late giving me the up on corners but he was just faster and unreachable! Then went another run with full power, no ballast and had to trade that late braking advantage but gained much needed speed! Also rain came hard, the fight again went for three laps between Carraza and Blazsan, I could swear they behaved very Sophy like, very great racing done!!

4) WTC 700 - Honda NSX Type R '02 - 700PP on Racing Hard tires and H414 engine-swapped; No-stopper run won at lap 6 when everyone entered pits at the same time, these things happens!

Here's a little WTC 700 update :
Yesterday I ran the race with my new Espace F1 swapped Renault Megane Trophy, the one from that super fun IA-9 license test. It's a group 4 car I had set up to 675 PP - I had hoped for a somehow balanced race but the car is very competitive, easy on fuel and tires yet really quick.
Today I thought why not test what the car can do at the 700 PP limit and hey, oh la la ...
I've been using RH compound, FM5 for 7 laps, switched to FM2 for one fast lap when there was no traffic and back to FM5 - there's no need to pit with that strategy, it's been a clean race with bonus, with a happy driver at the line !

The Spa race is definitely weird, I tried it with my stock 992 GT3 RS with SM tires, and heavy rain came in for the entire race.

Since @ROCKET JOE gave me his " confidential" settings for the Renault, what ever i try can't match his smoothness riding the mammoth .

So in order to avoid depression, i change plans seeking for the under 15 minutes car and @2cam16 gave me the idea.
So i pull out the Caterpillar ( swapped one ) which is for traffic control on secondary roads and not for highway patrol.

Hard level NO CRB since the agency can cover some expenses causing by dangerous pursuits🤣 .
Mission accomplished, all went behind bars under the low " in flagrante de licto " .

One stop no tyre change ( RH) , short shift up to way short shift.

But then you may not be able to get the max pp!
Max PP makes the events very very very easy in most cases, the Porsche ones especially you can run up to about 100pp under and still have a fairly strong shot at winning.

I find it a lot more fun to go as far under as I can and have a competitive race than over-tune my car and blow past everything.

An hour ago I've finished the Espace TT, so the whole bundle is done now. The fact that the required target times are relatively low is completely irrelevant to me. Time trialing always has been trying to get close to my personal limits or even beyond, not just tick off gold and move on. After one hour of trying and practicing I'm not yet there, so I might get back to Spa tomorrow ...

The essential bit :

Clearing the bollards without contact !

I tried FM3 RM one stop change tyres strat:

Then tried a no stop but on RM, FM5 and short shifting at 12k rpm:

Not able to keep up with your pace! But I found fuel saving boring compared to one stop, mostly because that F1 engine sings more!
