Research notes still being written...

A most enjoyable selection of events, all completed on hard, with wins on 1st or 2nd attempt.
Sunday Cup Classic: Suzuki Carry - Fully Modded, on CS tyres. PP on this feels ridiculously low, given it’s spec and power-to-weight ratio. An easy win
Japanese FF Challenge 450: Suzuki Swift Sport - Race mods, SH tyres. Again no real challenge from the AI racers, easy first attempt win.
Special Event: enjoyed using the Espace, but the target wasn’t particularly challenging. Gold achieved at 2nd attempt.
Porsche Cup: Carrera GT, Stage 1 weight reduction, front splitter and rear wing added, SS tyres. I loved driving this car! Probably my favourite Porsche of all time. Handles beautifully, and the sound of that V10…
The most enjoyable event of the week, with a shower mid race keeping things interesting.
World Touring Car 700: Porsche 911 RSR. Having enjoyed driving the Carrera GT so much, it was too hard to resist the RSR, when I checked my garage for something suitable for this race and spotted the RSR, already tuned to 699PP on RH tyres. FM3, with a fuel only stop on lap 6 produced an easy win.

My POTW obvious goes to the Carrera GT among it’s siblings!

For the Porsche Cup race at Spa I first tried a stock '95. No chance lol. So next I hopped in a stock '01. Still no hope. I skipped the '09 thinking it would not be competable either and jumped straight into a stock '16 Cayman. Disappointing.

For ***** and giggles got in the '09 and low and behold she was worthy of the challenge. 👌

While some of you guys seem to have a lot of fun with your Escudos 👍 I've spent a bit more time at Spa.

Had a pretty good run again with the 911 Turbo S '20 today. I changed the setup from more grip oriented ( SS / 471 hp / 649,00 PP ) to more power ( SM / 571 hp / 649,25 PP ) which seems to work better at Spa. I had 2.5 laps on a wet track but not enough water to distract much. Been quite a couple of seconds faster than before, none of the AI pilots could keep up ( ok, Wulf had a day off ) !

The 911 Turbo S '20 is fantastic, I think about switching from the 911 GT3 RS '22 to this one as my favorite Porsche.
An hour ago I've finished the Espace TT, so the whole bundle is done now. The fact that the required target times are relatively easy is completely irrelevant to me. Time trialing always has been trying to get close to my personal limits or even beyond, not just tick off gold and move on. After one hour of trying and practicing I'm not yet there, so I might get back to Spa tomorrow ...
So that's what I did yesterday. Could shave another 1.5 tenths from my PB in a perfectly clean run, proud of it ! ;) FIN

Used a similar strat but not quick enough!

Don't say that, you are very quick.
As about total time it's a matter of chasing the CRB or not .
I wasn't since always i have problems with he dark side of the tunnel when am in traffic ,plus the damn NSX which somehow always cause me problems 🤣
I never ride the cement or being of track but trade paint or blackmail the pass was in the program .
If you took CRB with that time ..... you're a hero.
From my calculations there's no way to achieve that under 14.30's .( Talking about me ).

What i notice is :
The smoother you are the faster you go and you don't have to change tyres during the pitstop ( i use RH ).
Saving fuels isn't hard and the car has all the torque you need to move with with one or two gears up .
Of course am talking about the swapped version cause the original one is only for high speed pursuit and the turbo lag is outrageous annoying in that kind of circuit.
I also try your Renault " mammoth" swapped version, it's more stable at the rear but i can't drive that car the way it needs, on the contrary @ROCKET JOE makes miracles with it .

Edit
Hopefully i was wrong 🤣
I try it again today trying to be smooth and patient in order to achieve CRB .
I took it with a total time 14.24 !!!
Faster lap 1.22.500plus
Although i shaved a bit the wall to times at the tunnel but i guess is more forgiving there .

Here's what i use for anyone who wants to have blistering runs and safe ones.

The gear box looks like that ( custom Racing)
And from the second page the High rpm turbo is added.
Tyres always RH ,FM3 , short shift to the death and
No tyre change
