Sorry Cote...was really hoping to run tomorrow but plans for the kids came up that will interfere. I am actually going to miss next week too (on vacation). I did get my G27 up and running last night though. Not sure how a person who has driven manual cars his entire life, races in GT like he has two left feet. I think the biggest problem is my brake pedal is completely different than the DFGT. Plus I have the Nixim spring which really changes it. I will certainly be missing the racing the next couple events, but hope to get a car in for the next VCRC run.

Summer is short and should be taken advantage of, enjoy it, I know I am.:)

One big difference with Sim is the lack of feedback from the (simulated/not there) car, all we have is some feedback from the wheel, sometime I think our experience with real driving makes thing worse, as what we are trying to emulate in Sim is very different and need to be forgotten before we can learn a new trick.

I have to head out of town again for a couple of days so i won't be making it tonight either. That will make 4 weeks in a row:crazy::ouch::yuck::yuck:

With the storms rolling through today our evening plans may be dropped. I don't have an official TT entry but do have a car that I was prepping for the other night. I have the Nissan Exo Canopy thing around mid 270 pp...that was getting me within the time slot. I don't have an official time or anything like that as I was planning on trying a couple other cars. If okay with everyone and the schedule clears up for me, I would still like to race.

I hope you can make it.:)

Big storms here too, I hope I will have power at racing time.:nervous:

Looks like it'll be a low turnout this week...

All considered an other great evening of online racing. First race although I finished last I was over the pace, lowered the PP, all set for race 2&3. Race 2 was fun great battle with Trackbound and Sag. Race 3, I was doing great, leading the pack, until my house had a power outage, sudenly the tv screen went black, the PS3 and router is on a battery power protector so I could drive again quickly but by then I was last. LOL.
Taking advantage of the Cadillac promotion I am trying IRacing for free. It is interresting, not sure I liked it at the beginning, but it is growing on me now. Much better than GT5 online typical lounge but not even close to the fun and competition I had again tonight at our parity racing.

Some very close battle all evening.

Some of those old car have so much body roll it is recommended to take Gravol before starting the race.

So for Monday at Suzuka, what kind of PP are we aiming at?

My best guess was 450-470 depending on the car you choose and skill level. I tried it out in the Camaro, Alfa 8C, and a few other premium heavyweights and was in that range.

I will not be racing tonight, as I am tired and have no car or time set. Hope you guys have a good night and good luck.

Glad to get out again tonight for the first time in weeks. Only four of us but 3 different winners and a lot of very close racing. :)

Thanks for posting the results bender, I'm sad I missed it as I really like Suzuka.

As discussed before, I have decided that from Round #8 tuning will be unrestricted. Plus as of now, for lack of confusion, all races will take place in the MCRC_Lounge.

Mike, is it also now open as far as the age of the car?

Yes, sorry I forgot about that part.

To clarify;
As of Round #8, two seperate cars must be used by each driver over the two weeks of each round. There is now no restriction on modification or age of vehicle used.

Yesterday was fun, thank you for the great evening racing friends online, first race was a deasaster for me, second: much better :). Third, I catched up every one after a slow start but then concentrated too much on the car in front of me and missed my line in a curve, lost ground , finished last, but it was fun.

Witch way is it again?

Looking forward to event 8, next week, very happy that all that matters now is the pace, I was going to be there with the Art Morrisson, but it might change now.

Next weeks VCRC event at Suzuka is still being run under the old rules. It is with Round #8 that the new regulations come into effect.

Also great pics from both of you, bender and Cote.

Yes, you are right, next week is the Suzuka VCRC event # 7 that we will be running in the MCRC, all clear, I think.:sly:

I will be in a red Art Morrison

, very noisy, I apologize in advance to Johnny, Sag or anyone else who will try to follow me and listen to his tyres and/or engine.:mischievous:

There is a very intetesting thread named GT5 tyres model on the forum. A must read and also could be used for some interesting parity racing idea.
