It's a bit early, but I will not be home this evening to post up the new thread at it's regular time. :)

The Car: Any Rally Car. Power to Weight ratio may not be below 2.6

The Track: SSR 5 WET

The Race: Hot Lap. Arcade Mode>Free Run. Get your fastest lap time.

The Rules:

1. No wall touching, hitting or riding.
2. Rumble strips are part of the track.
3. No cheating.
4. Do not go below a 2.6 Power to Weight Ratio
5. Save your replay.
6. No Hybrids

Time Discussion: All "T" times.

The Deadline: Monday at Midnight MST USA, January 13th.

This week's race sounds awesome:)

I've been hoping for a Wet race at SS5, and the power/weight thing's intriguing...

I'm assuming T8 super soft racing slicks are the best in the wet?
 
well, I've had a break over the festive season and now I'm back (cos I've finished Metal Arms which kinda too over my life for a while ;) ).
And Zoiks Yipes and Criminey! Slooshing around in the rain... as if i don't see enough out my window!!

I wonder if I'll be able to get a single clean lap? Maybe, if I don't get out of 3rd I'll be alright :D

I believe you can mod it.. but you need to make sure that your PTWR (power to weight ratio) meets said requirements. the more you mod, the lower PTWR goes.

Anyways, sounds fun and i hope to get a few laps in tonight.

Car's p/w can't be lower than 2.6, and yes you can mod cars but you can't pass the pw limit, hope I've helped.

I have like 3% of exp on SSR wet...well I'll have a time by the night.

what cars are the rest of you running? i would have thought the
Impreza prototype would be the best, or the Evo.
Do these cars have any advantages over each other, or are they pretty much evenly matched?
 
I'll have to submit a time this week, i completely forgot about this for the past 5 weeks or so... :embarrassed:
 
eeh what the hell, enjoy crushing my T time

first session went kinda good I guess, I don't know, but got T1 of 0'32.183 and T2 of 0'56.999

a lot of room for improvement though, I have reached T2's at like 56.7xx
 
Well, my schedule just formed an opening; you can expect a time from me this week...

Quite good fun this race.

You're probably the only one then (and the lucky one too :lol: ).
 
I work off the stock settings car being about 5s slower than my target time (unless the track is really short - Super Speedway - or obscenely long - Complex String). So yeah.

I'm running my least favourite rally car (one of only two without proper livery), on very basic settings at the moment. And I only had time for 3 laps.
 
Hell no! It's seriously outclassed in this field.

Delta; Best permitted PWR; 2.699
Xsara; " ; 2.689
Celica; " ; 2.684

The two prototype WRCs are at low 2.70, but all the rest are around 2.64 or so. Mine is at 2.645 - not the best, but the torque figure makes up for it.
 
I'm a real child of the 80's - love it to bits :D

Unfortunately the Delta just can't cope when tuned. She's only allowed a maximum of 430hp (compared to 473 for the WRCs), and can only reach 415hp. If you change the oil, she goes over her limit. She just gives too much away. Sadly.

But the Integrale is not as cool as a Lancia Rallye 037, or Quattro S1, or Delta S4, or Peugeot 205 T16, or Ford RS200, or....
....wanders off into dream land...
...what I'd really like is an Escort RS1700T - now that would be cool in GT4... :D
