Sorry dude but I've found that the only way to figure stuff out is try it and see. There's several threads around that give good guides to general setups but it all comes down to practice.
Since starting this weekly series I've learned loads from both other members and simply going and doing. I think I'm becoming a lot better not just at driving but at understanding how a car behaves and how to adjust it to suit the circuit and my driving style.
Keep at it and you'll improve, you won't if you rely on others.
BTW I'm not trying to knock you for ding a lazy 4 star just trying to encourage you to get better! (although not as good as me, obviously, cos then you'd beat me)
