The Car: GT40 Race Car. Install NA Stage 2. 699HP.

If you don't have this car in your garage, you can win it by running the GT World Championship, Professional league.

The Track: Apricot Hill Raceway

The Race: Hot Lap. Arcade mode, Free Run. Get your fastest lap time.

The Rules:

1. 2 tires on the track at all times.
2. Rumble strips are considered part of the track.
3. No short cutting.
4. No cheating.
5. No hybrids.
6. Save your replay.
7. Have fun.

The Deadline: Monday the 21st of April, at Midnight, Mountain Standard Time. If you need to check your time zone go here: www.worldtimezone.com
MST is the 3rd time zone form the East Coast of the USA.

With regards to the R390 race you know i had to win the car again..just after that race was done i decided to take my new R390 for a spin around Tokyo reverse ..My previous best (with ragged car ) was 1'13.443 this was a solid lap ...with new shiney car i got a 1'12.032 not too shaby

So as you can tell it does not bother me to run race's to get cars

Took her for a wee spin ..This is one freaky wee car been age's since i ran it

T3..47.500 lost loads of time on the small right handed hairpin

Used Robs settings just changed the springs to 10 and the stabs to 7/7 ..I must be getting better because i blasted my previous lap by over 3 seconds..I dunno when i ran that lap but i know it was long time ago ..

Must say I'm a little DISAPPOINTED boom, from the title I thought we'd be doin' 40 Laps @ Apricot Hill !!!

Seriously, GREAT COMBO, 👍 have never driven this thing before. A little surprised @ the 5-speed but not the authentic '60s BRAKES (or LACK thereof!!!)
Everyone don't forget STAY OUTTA THE SAND!!! Glad we drove on the DIRT last week as this thing feels like it's on ICE...UB57


BTW: Anyone else having trouble w/the SITE??? It's real slow & just shut down my On-Line service???

Well everyone... Im back.

We're out of the dirt and back "on the road again."

Plus, my super telepathy told me last week that the gt40 would be the car for this week.

So I raced and won the gt40 during last week in my time off.

Now I have the car for the entire week...

I'll be back with some times...

A great combo this will be. A very technical race with a . . . maybe not too technical car. I have driven this car maybe 3 laps, but I can't wait to tune it and race it. I am going to withoutyou guys for help from Thrusday to Sunday because I am going to be up in Connecticut visiting my momz, but I am definately bringing my PS2, especially since I'll have time to run this up there because it is a vacation

Apricott is one of my favorite tracks, major tire wear on the front tires pending on which direction you are going, but that should not matter. We don't deal with tire weear.

Well I have just put down a few , no, a bunch of laps...

The results are a mixed bag as usual.

T2 low of 22.8

But the t3 is still in the 46 mids. (about 46.6/7)

However, those 22.8's are consistant, so that is a good start for the week.

I just hope to see alot of you guys turning in times.

It would really suck to see a car voted into the competition not have a turn out that matches the others.

Well I guess thats it for now... off to work I go.

First Impressions

Well, i whipped through the Pro Worl Cup to get a GT40, while golding some tracks i skipped previously...and got right down to it. The car isn't too akward to handle, but anything takes time to get used to! My quickest lap time was nothing special, but for the love of god HOW DO I CHECK MY T2 and T3 times!!! I'm either blind or stupid....but to me it doesn't sound logical to have to pause the game every time i run over a split time point and write down my T2 or T3 times...then unpause and try to keep going....when i'm racing i like to stay focused, if i pause and come back, sometimes you don't really remember HOW MUCH your car is pulling to the outside, ya know? PLEASE tell me that i can go BACK and check my T2/3's.....

also the Gulf GT40 sounds great....just sounds terrible when im sliding through the kitty litter

Turns 2 and 5 are giving me trouble, and I can't stop drifting through the hairpin.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but after driving the GT-40 for the first time today, I have to say that I don't understand it's popularity. I get that the car looks slick (one of my favourites, in terms of looks) but it just handles like *ss.

You can check your T2 and T3 times by watching the replay of your race.

anyway...what if my fastest lap happens to be the 11th or 12th or something lap.....when i click replay, it starts at the 1st LAP now i don't see that being anymore logical, having to wait until your 12th lap comes around to get your T2/3 times? *sigh* or do i havto restart so that if i view replay it only shows my fast one? ugh im so lost lol
