wot an absulute arse of a track...whose idea was it to host an F1 event in this godforsaken little town?...

C'mon fellas, give it a shot. Wasn't too long ago I couldn't break 1:15 on this track and now its a much different story.

Anyone try the sets I posted, did they help, hinder?

Yup, I had a go with those sets, tinkered with the gearing slightly.

Best T2 so far 53.xxx ha ha Clint. :p
 
I had a run yesterday - jus got in the car didnt do the settings at all and managed a T2 of 54 secs !

The course is well hard but even after only 5 or so laps I was gettin the hang of it

Gonna use the settings that Sough has put on for tonights run I think - See what I can get ?

Jon came round mine yesterday and said he'd try to do this weeks race but he's got some exams and stuff to do with work so not sure
But I'll be there though on sunday - pad in hand !! ready to race !

I'm getting on alright, James. Put down a time below 1'15, so I'm happy. After all, it is only early testing. ;)
 
I was about 1.20 odd but then it was only me first real attempt and I was crashing off nearly every wall !!

Its so tight in sum places - You know the BAD hairpin and the last bad turn - I seem to do better if I keep it in 2nd using the shift button rather than dropping to first - Seem to have more control thru the corner for sum reason ?? Good idea or not ?

DEFINITELY a good idea. I'm going to try 3rd throughout that brutal turn at the pits.

After you come out of the bad 180 hairpin, feed the power back in pretty gently, or you'll end up sliding into the inside wall. :banghead:
 
Ahhh good - I presumed that was the best thing but just wanted to check !!
I actually quite like the right hander just after the 180 beast cos you can run off to the left to set up for the right hander into the tunnel !!

Yeah that one's a nice corner. :D

Get it right and you can flow through that right-hander, and get an amazing run into the tunnel. :D

Then the MOTHER of all corners - I always end up facin the wrong way right on the left inside part of the first left turn !!!! Got to try and master that one ! 2nd gear again I think !

BAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRP! :D

I like that corner. It takes all your skill and finesse to guide the car around the corner.

Damn now I sound like a poet. :grumpy:

For this corner you go down to 2nd for the entry, but then you have to jab the brakes to get your back end to swing right again for the exit - that's when you go down to first for 0.5 of a second. :D
