What about some montly forum awards!!

We've run a few GTP awards in the past - maybe once a year or so - and it's a huge amount of work. Doing it monthly would be darn near impossible given the staff schedules. However, I expect that another round of GTP awards will appear at some time in the futur.

What would the awards be? Like what criteria would we look for?

Duke, how is that a lot of work? Make a poll and get people to cast their votes. Haha, you fellas on the mod staff can deem me a moderator and give me power to run the GTP Award Show. C'mon Duke, you know you'd love to see me with those yellow letters below my name...

Usually we set up a board or subforum for it. Then there's announcements and moderating the threads, in addition to coming up with the categories, etc.

We're busy as it is. I'm not saying it won't happen again; it probably will, but it's certainly more work than not doing it. I'm also the steward for the BC5 competition we're hosting, so my summer is tied up with that.

I forgot about the subforum part of the awards. Instead of all that, I say just make a thread in Announcements and sticky it to the top. I'm sure it'd get a decent amount of views. Anywho, I know now what you mean when you talk about so much work being put into it.

I've told Jordan in the past that I would be more then happy to run it since the first set of GTP awards kinda was a brain child of me and some others. My offer still stands that if you need help with it I can run it or at least help you run it.

I may be interested in holding the awards again fairly soon. I'm a bit hesitant on having them at the moment because of the launch of GTP7, and I'd hate to interrupt them for the upgrade.
