Gobs is just a little more than oodles, which is slightly more than scads but less than a slew.![]()
SI units. True fact.
Gobs is just a little more than oodles, which is slightly more than scads but less than a slew.![]()
Everyone knows you dip fries in a Frosty. No ifs, no buts.

I'm pretty sure "gob" is the official unit used by Polyphony Digital. If you've got 30 gobs of downforce over the rear axle, you've got a lot of gobs.
I'm gobsmacked by the question " what are gobs ? " What about gob stopper ?![]()

Anyone notice how it also says that aero kits and spoilers add "gobs of downforce" in the description of tuned cars. What exactly is a gob?
Why would you put ketchup on fires?![]()
To be 'exact' is to view it in the proper context - or else it becomes merely a metaphor riddled with cultural minutiae.
To 'gobble' is to force down large quantities - so when you down with force large quantities (or 'gobfuls' - as has been explained previously 'gob' means 'mouth' - the opening we gobble stuff with) then it can be said that you have gobs of downforce.
Puking is the opposite of this - and can end in a throw up.
Did anyone else notice the typo?
It means "A lot", no idea where it came from though.
ex: I put a glob of ketchup on my fires.
If you're going to blame somebody for a typo, blame the right person. I don't know how you missed that post with the original typo when it was right above mine. And I even bolded it too.
