What are you listening to? (V)Music

[Populuxe]

I think I learned more about Edgar Winter in this 9:19 live in studio recording of “Frankenstein” than in my entire 62 years of listening to music.

Edgar Winter Group - Frankenstein

Me too but I didn't look it up until I'd "mastered" the song in Guitar Hero 1.

I hope this song isn't too offence and gets me banned (black, gay, happiness and all that ****)

I see now that one very common word did not pass the filter. I hope you all have a good life, bye

Asteroids Galaxy Tour - Major. Also the rest of their three albums Fruit, Out Of Frequency and Bring Us Together.

[Team THRT Drift]

Was rewatching Supernatural recently and this gem was playing in an expositionary character's (is that a thing?) car before he was mysteriously murdered.

Still relevant today.

Forgot to mention I love listening to ballroom music.

Al Bowlly- Midnight With The Stars And You

[Mikey]

Shazam tried and failed to ID a videogame track I was listening to*. But damned if the bunch/person/entity they came up with hasn't replaced Boards Of Canada and Add N To X on my electronic music playlist for the time being.

Brain Fruit - 1.6 (from their snappily titled album 1.1)

Spoiler: incidental VGM spoddery

This is the track the Shazbot was trying to identify. Guess the dialogue on my video threw it off.

Falcom sound team jdk - In Profile, On Belfry

I've just listened to one of the most beautiful songs ever made... And one of the most powerful/beautiful voices ever... ♥. How this woman got rejected by the industry is one of my pet peeves of the year, but finally she got the chance to shine and, boy, she did ♥

Sidenote: Officially my Song 1000 on my Spotify playlist ♥

[TexRex]

Brian Eno and John Cale - Spinning Away

Like I think most I gravitate to the mid-'70s Seger and into the '80s but early Seger is pretty great, and he was clearly just as tired of the war as anyone else.

Can't stop listening to these Japanese bands - Hitsujibungaku and Man With A Mission. Was lucky that I got to see them both live in London this month, something I never thought would happen. Hearing my favourite songs live was amazing.

Want a new, up-and-coming indie band with the tinge of a reminder that the 2000s were two decades ago?

Look no further!
