When this song became noticeable especially on Kids Bop, I believe the kids assumed the message of the song was about a date. More like a date to kill. When I always saw commercials featuring a couple of good songs in the early '00s, I thought "Damn, these kids ruined the song's popularity. Not the impression the bands wanted to see from their songs."
It's quite hard to sing the chorus of Neue Regel. It's not the notes which are the problem, it's just I don't know which vocal line to follow, as there's sort of two vital vocal tracks, but they cross over each other throughout.
