A top hit from the best writers, arranger, producer, performers and musicians of 1963, one of the most energetic and important boy-meets-girl love songs in rock and roll history, IMHO. Many versions exist. Here are some session outtakes. They do not make them like this anymore.

The Gun - Yellow Cab Man. Adrian Gurvitz could certainly string together some riffs back in the day.

Piggie Pie - 30 years (V-Rally 3's bgm)... Never played the game but man... this is one of the coolest relax songs I've ever listened ♥... Kind of wants to belong to Kill bill IMO ♥

Back in the early sixties, the population was exploding with teenagers, the post WWII baby boom. We had pocket transistor radio, car radio and record players, and many of us were becoming intensely interested in the opposite sex, cars and even surfing. The music industry made fortunes by catering to our tastes. Boy-meets-girl love songs was where rock and roll was at. But by '65, that era was changing with events such as the Watts riots and the escalating Vietnam war. Rock and roll became more socially aware, and alienation rather than desire and fulfillment became a theme. For better or worse, rock music has never been the same. Let's take another trip in the wayback machine to the soul of rock and roll.

A beautiful ballad from the Vietnam war era.

One of my all-time favorites, and I love that promo video. Pretty sure I posted it recently, which isn't to say that you shouldn't, of course...just emphasizing the appreciation I have for it.

One of many great Motown top R&B hits, the Motown sound from Detroit performed by The Funk Brothers. "Its members are considered among the most successful groups of studio musicians in music history."

More, please.
