Interesting and not quite what I was expecting. Every time I expected it to get heavier, it didn't. It sounded like a softer Scar Symmetry song with some Kenny G mixed in for good measure. Still, not bad.

Anyway, here's some Scar Symmetry because I hadn't given them a listen in a while.

Yesterday was Indigenous People's Day, so have a listen to A Tribe Called Red's Halluci Nation album.

John Denver died in a plane accident 23 years ago yesterday.

A couple artists I discovered recently that i like. First up is Blu DeTiger, fronted by a great singer/bassist.

Payday is a 16-year-old girl from a small town north of Seattle. I really hope she's going to be big. She's got the talent.

I've always been a big fan of the Fleet Foxes, but I think Robin Pecknold has out-done himself with this track...

Do you like vibrato and reverb? Do you think "peace will come when all hate is gone"? If so, this lost gem from the 60's is for you.

For all fans of vibrato, reverb and love:

I see it's written by Fred Neil, one of the greatest singer/songwriters no one's ever heard of. He never had big success on his own, but he wrote "Everybody's Talkin'" which was recorded by Harry Nilsson for the Midnight Cowboy soundtrack which became a world wide hit.

Today would have been Tom Petty's 70th birthday. Let's have a few faves from him.

A new song with a radio friendly vibe from Architects.
Caution - A couple of explicit lyrics.
