I've never heard that before.
That surprises me. It was a big hit in the USA too. It was #5 on the Billboard Hot 100in the early 1990s, and as far as I know not banned from Christian radio stations (Catholics not were amused though)

Well maybe now I can listen to it and maybe get a feel for liking the song. Always good to try new things.

The last three albums by The Association are a certainly far cry from the band's top selling baroque pop years but their signature melodies and vocal harmonies are still intact. I'm surprised by how well-produced and consistent their eponymous release is so far despite their lack of commercial success and critical acclaim. Fame is fickle and fleeting.

[EDIT] Stop Your Motor wasn't very good at all but Waterbeds In Trinidad! seems to be pretty good judging by the first few tracks. The Stonehenge album was pretty front loaded though, so this is no guarantee.

Barenaked Ladies - Tonight Is the Night I Fell Asleep at the Wheel

The freeway turned left. I didn’t. Woke up with the car plowing through tall grass and weeds. Got it stopped, but couldn’t move the car. The wheels just spun in the mud and grass. Cost $547.31 to get the car pulled back up to the road. I’m fine. The car is mostly fine. Just some broken plastic trim, most of it from being towed.

Glad you're okay @Populuxe. I wouldn't listen to "Warm Leatherette" by The Normal anytime soon if I were you.

Glad you're okay as well. I'll just anything Kenny G to that list.
His music is more like a trainwreck than a car accident but listening to him definitely sends you to sleep.

Still listening to Nick Drake. This is an alternate version of the Five Leaves Left song "Three Hours" featuring Rebop Kwaku Baah on congas. "Joey" is another outtake that was perhaps considered too melancholy for the album's mood.

Glad you're ok. I had a similar thing happen to me in the late 90's. I was driving a Dodge Durango trying to make it back home late at night from a Nashville Predators game and I was so sleepy. Similar to you I woke up with the vehicle plowing through tall grass. Got it stopped but it was down below the level of the road. Somebody stopped to see if I was ok which I was and asked who they could call for me. I didn't have a cell phone and neither did they but they found a phone somewhere and called a buddy from work. He called the tow truck for me and came out to where I was which was about 15 miles from home. The wrecker was able to pull me out by the tow hitch so the vehicle didn't have any damage. Just weeds and grass stuck in the springs etc.

But I went straight the next day and bought my first cell phone. Thank goodness it's never happened again.

I‘ve been listening to a lot of 90‘s New York hip hop lately and rediscovered a few albums I loved as a teenager and haven‘t listened to in a long time.

Illmatic and It Was Written made me realize (again) how good of a rapper Nas is.

…and dope production by Pete Rock, Q-Tip , DJ Premier, Large Professor aka Extra P and a few more. The genius in the songs that were sampled is mind boggling in regards to the snippets they picked.

To listen to this piece and out of the full seven minutes twenty-three seconds, Pete Rock heard something at 4:58. Mixed that into one of greatest hip hop tracks on one of the top hip hop albums of all times. Good album for music lovers to check out the samples and then listen to those complete albums.

Oh wow, so that‘s where „The World Is Yours“ melody is from!

And I agree, I‘ve also been listening a lot to Gang Starr, especially Moment of Truth since it‘s my favorite album by Guru and Premier. It blows my mind how good the beats are on this release.

I find it really impressive how neither DJ Premier‘s or Pete Rock‘s beats are insanely complex but everything fits together so perfectly. Same with guys like J Dilla and Madlib.
