[EDIT] I Never Loved... was okay but I didn't find the non-single tracks very memorable. Lady Soul is pretty good all the way through and I really like "Good To Me As I Am To You". Clapton's guitar doesn't hurt either.

Now is an album I bought back when it was reissued in '93 and is a real keeper. Gonna check out Spirit In The Dark next; I didn't like this back in the nineties but hopefully my ears have grown up a little by now.

Geordie's Gone To Jail and Blaze Of The Borough are also good additions to a largely excellent catalogue which showcase an almost-serious side to the Tyneside comedy punksters.

They all held extremely well.

There were some very surprisingly well done cameos and cover versions too. Like this Jack Black one 👇. It was pre-recorded but it was a great filler.

Found an unopened vinyl reprint of Tender Prey in a local record store a couple weeks ago and I had to bring it home. I gave it a spin, but I was a bit distracted, so I'm going for a second, more attentive listen now.

The last of the Seeds' Berlin albums, Tender Prey nails that dark, brooding, wailing tones that had become distinctive of the band's artistic production since their relocation in '85. I guess the ambiance (and the consumption of copious amounts of drugs) helped with that?
Any other band would've tried to build some sense of tonal and thematic progression in their album; Nick Cave decided to start with the plea and confession of an unrepentant killer instead. And since Mercy Seat is the track through which I discovered The Bad Seeds, it holds a special place in my heart.

Giving the brand new Deftones track a listen, from the upcoming album "Private Music". Not bad. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's certainly Deftones. Nice use of heavy riffs mixed with shoegaze interludes. Definitely a good start. Looking forward to hearing what the rest of the album sounds like.

Giving Jermaine Jackson's 1980 album Let's Get Serious a spin to hear the three songs he asked Stevie Wonder to write and produce. The Jermaine-only tracks turned out to be okay as well.
