Dreadzone's 1995 sophomore release Second Light. I liked their mix of dub and electronic music at the time so this is, largely, a nostalgia listen. Not sure about this 2012 remaster though. Although the band's Greg Roberts liked it, it sounds a bit choked off to me.

About time I listened to some of their other stuff.

Haven't listened to this album in a while and it's just as good as I remembered it.

I'll always have a soft spot for Southern hip hop.

Lotta iZombie soundtrack music.

Lucius - Dusty Trails

[EDIT] Probably my current intoxicated state but the twin female lead vocals give this one a bit of an Abba feel.

Never really got a chance to listen to this band's catalogue but I like most of the singles.

Some of these are deluxe reissues so there may be a few more non-album singles and demos scattered about.

Haha, already got my Bruce Foxton tickets for 2026. FTJ tour is cancelled because they are no longer from The Jam
Strange, I only got the email this morning about the tour, typical Ticketmaster screw up. My other half might be interested in Bruce at Cadogan Hall, although she's more of a Paul Weller fan.

RIP to Ace Frehley of KISS. I was a suburban white kid in the 1970s. Of course I was part of the KISS Army.

KISS Detroit Rock City Paul Lynde Halloween Special 1976

RIP.

I was going to a christian school as a KISS fan so I was hearing that KISS stood for Knights In Satan's Service and all of that ********. There was a story on ABC about the hype of KISS maybe before the Halloween Special which is the first time I actually saw them. I was hooked. Ace had this trick in his guitar that would make it smoke during his solo in concert. My first ever concert was in January 1982 when I skipped basketball practice to go see them on the Creatures Of The Night tour just after Ace left.

I think I saw 7 or 8 of the reunion concerts in that 1996-2002 timeframe. I caught two of Ace's picks at one of the Atlanta shows at the old Omni.

In 1978 I think it was there were rumors that the band was going to break up because certain ones wanted solo careers so what they did was that each band member did a solo record but they were released under the KISS umbrella. It was anticipated that Ace's would probably be the worst. Up until then he had only sang one song he wrote "Shock Me" off of Love Gun. He wrote an earlier song called "Cold Gin" off of their debut album but Gene sang it in concert. Ace eventually took it back in the later years of the group. But when the four solo albums were released everyone was blown away by how good Ace's album was. It's phenomenal. There is not a bad track on it.

One of the funniest things you will see is when KISS appeared on the Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder to promote the Dynasty album in 1979. Ace was absolutely hammered. That show is when everyone got introduced to his signature laugh. It's more like a cackle. It's on YouTube and is worth a look.

I was very disappointed to hear that Kiss had accepted a Kennedy Center Honors from Trump and I still think that it was mainly Gene doing it and the other three had to go along with it. I said after that that I had disowned them and I meant it. I threw away all of their t-shirts I had, deleted their music from my computer (which I later lost all of my music in the hard drive failure). But Ace was always my guy in the band. He is the reason I took up the guitar. I had not heard about his accident. You kind of had the idea that he might be the first original member to die but it might have been a lot earlier due to his addictions with drugs and alcohol.

RIP Spaceman
