I drove by a gas station today that posted $3.39 for regular unleaded, and my jaw nearly fell off. That may sound like nothing to the Europeans, but that’s crazy insane for the U.S.

Good Lord! I'm assuming we'll be seeing that in Michigan before to long.

Prices down in little old oz' have had a bit of an increase over the last couple of weeks, it has increased by about 20c a litre to $1.40...

I bought gas last night for $2.88 per gallon...

As of right now, the highest price is $2.95 for regular in the most recent update. According to the chart (grandrapidsgasprices.com) the highest price today was $2.99 around 7PM.

I guess I'm happy I bought gas when I did, but in the grand context of things, I only would have lost out on a $1.20. Ohhh well, I suppose thats one less bottle of Coke today...

5 cents per litre overnight.... $1.159 per liter now. And you know what I love? Our nice Canadian government charges tax on the tax for gas. At the current price of gas, almost half is government fees and taxes, and then taxes (GST) on the aforementioned government taxes. At the current price, that's 8 cents per litre tax on tax. Oh, how I love our government at times.

Our Government did the same thing, they kept the large tax on fuel then add 10% GST when it came in. If they ditched the original tax on fuel then just add the GST I would have been happy.

Man, when I heard that it was $3.14 in Chicago few days ago, I thought that was bad! Chevron gas price I saw tonight here was $2.69/gal. I guess it's not too bad here yet.

Bit off-topic, but it's amazing how much economy involves automobiles. I think I was looking at Fortune magazine's top 10 companies or something. Only two companies out of top 10 were non-auto related. I believe it was Wal-Mart and some bank, like Citibank. Then again, they sell auto parts and finance cars too. Rest of the top 10 were auto makers like Ford, Toyota, GM and oil companies. With all the dealers, repair shops, after market parts, financing, etc. I never realized how big of a industry auto industry is.

$1.69/litre for 91RON (I think it's RON) here, we pay tax on tax with out petrol as well.

I think that's the equivalent to $4/gal US units.

I found it very ironic that the price of diesel went up due to 'increased transport costs' - 💡

It looks new but seems so old :(

My dad pointed this out to me in the paper the other day...

The telegraph
The average cost of a litre has risen sharply during the past few weeks from 90.5p to 95p - the equivalent of £4.32 a gallon - according to price comparison website Petrolprices.com.

I did a some quick maths (Used Wikipedia for the conversions) and got $6.41 per gallon.

What's worse is that we did abit of a MPG estimate for the Previa and we were only doing about 20MPG :nervous: (That's for the 2.4ltr engine, no towing or heavy loads, though we do live up a considerable hill)

Prices dropped a tad here, we are back down to 2.99 again. Still high, but it's not the worst of it yet, they said 4-5 dollar gas by the end of May.

Were at $2.95 a gallon as of 2:30PM. I was watching Fox News over the weekend on their business programing, and although right now it might seem like a big deal, wait a week or two and everything will even out. People are just going to have to adjust for that extra few dollars in their budget... Thats one less time eating out at McDonalds, one less bottle of Soda at work, etc. People are just going to need to figure it out, because it looks like these prices are here to stay.

$2.89 for basic unleaded right now....it's forecasted (Wow, it's like the effin' weather, now. :irked: ) to hit $3 tomorrow. And the Super 93 is already hitting $3.29. I would believe it's time to retrieve the bike from the shed...

Ya I like how they forecast the fuel prices now, maybe there will be a Fuel Price Channel on my TV...

Tomarrow the prices will remain stable however a high price front is moving in from the west.

Tomarrow night, a chance of rising prices due to the high price front moving in, expect to see prices in the mid 2.90's. 40% chance of rising.

Good one, mate.👍 It's about as ludicrous as that Terrorist Level bullshart...

"And today's forecast is.....yellow."

$2.94 per US gallon here in my hometown...good thing I don't drive much. But as soon as I get employed again it'll be hell--I' trying to find something within 5-8 miles of me so I don't have to worry about petrol taking my food money away.

My parents let me use their Blazer over the weekend because my car is at my uncle's shop, so I filled the tank for them earlier today, and the price was $2.91 per gallon.

Its $2.90 here in Leavenworth.
But I tend to fill up in Missouri as often as possible.
Gas is $2.75/gal for regular.
It's $2.95 for premium.

I paid $3.13 for shell v-power today, thats the most I have ever paid for a gallon of gas. :guilty:

$2.98 in Scottsdale/Phoenix.

And here's a fun fact (or two): According to www.gaspricewatch.com, the cheapest in the USA is $2.36 in Twin Falls, Idaho, with the most expensive being $4.29 in Brooklyn, New York. :scared:

I haven't had to purchase gas for about the last 2 weeks, but now it's just about time to again.
I'm a bit worried now as one of my co-workers told me today that he paid $3.09 for 85 octane. My car requires 91.

I'm scared. I'll let you know what I pay tomorrow, that is if I'm still alive and haven't died of price shock.

We just rose to $2.95 for 87 octane. :nervous:
