Ugh. Ted once again confesses his love for Robin, even though it has been established since the first episode that there will never be anything between them. It's what makes Ted so damn unlikeable: he keeps relapsing, falling in love with this girl that the audience knows will not love him back the way he wants her to. I suppose the writers are building up to the big reveal (for Ted, who does not know) that Robin cannot have children and so explore the consequences of it, but couldn't they have found a way to do it that doesn't involve Ted announcing that he is in love with her?
