I'm fifteen minutes in and not expecting great things. So far Carl Lumbly is unsurprisingly a better Captain America than Anthony Mackie.

Obviously a few minutes later I'm regretting these words lol.

I haven’t seen it, but I’ve heard it’s best to watch the post credit scenes than the whole movie. Not necessary, but Captain America: Brave New World should be watched before Thunderbolts*/The New Avengers. If only for timeline order sake.

It's the only reason I watched the movie tbh. I have a Thunderbolts viewing scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

The New Avengers??? I'd rather watch The New Avengers!
You can never have enough Joanna Lumley
;)

When I was in primary school on rainy days we’d have assembly and once in awhile the teachers would play an episode. Imagine that for kids in The Bronx. I had such a good childhood. ;)

I still have yet to get around to watching no. 3.
I watched them films quite late on, worth a watch. Think number 4 is by far the most funniest, I suppose it depends on your sense of humour and mood you are in though. I did not know it was possible for my face to ache so much from watching a film, haven't watched a funnier film since.

Heads up, Lightyear is currently available on iPlayer if you haven't watched that too. I ended up just watching the last frame of the World Snooker final live, at least Mark made it respectable in the end. Finally a Chinese winner, hopefully old guard can still compete and Ronnie can get his eighth one day.

I don't think I've watched a single film yet in the MCU so you are far ahead of me at that looking at your recent post on here. Plan to take that on one day and also Harry Potter film series as I only watched the first one on a school trip when it first came out.

I think I like the third one by Alfonso Cuarón the best. He tried something a little different with the timey-wimey shenanigans and I think he managed to pull it off.

For those reading after the limited window elapses:

Saya Kamitani (c) v.s Tam Nakano
World of Stardom Championship, Career v.s Career
Stardom All Star Grand Queendom, 4/27/2025

A summary:
  • Both are mostly failed J-pop idols who somehow crossed over to wrestling, both with a flair for the dramatic as evidenced by entrances alone.
  • A TL;DW: Student who turned to the dark side beats their teacher once and for all

I found out Shinichiro Watanabe's new anime series, Lazarus, is streaming in the UK on Channel 4's on demand service, but the premise and the first bit between the ads didn't grab me enough to make the ads worthwhile. After the third minute of the second bunch of ads I had to turn it off, I'll watch it ad-free some other way one day.

Other than that, my kid's been unwell lately, most recently with chickenpox, so we've just been watching Up (which he calls Balloon Pumps), Elemental, Kiki's Delivery Service and Porco Rosso. On repeat. Several times a day. I don't mind Porco Rosso so much (except for the smoking, guns, fistfights...) but the others are wearing a bit thin.

Semi-main event this time

Starlight Kid (c) v.s AZM (pronounced Azumi)
Wonder of Stardom Championship & leadership of the NEO GENESIS stable

TL;DW: two stablemates who have a track record of bangers against one another have another one

That’s cool.. I’m mean cute… I mean cool. Those throws at 27:00 oof! Japan, man.
