I haven't watched Joe Dirt in a long time, I remember that crazy film. Have you guys seen it? It's an old 2001 flick.

Tonight, we're going to watch...

I finally finished season 1 of Last of Us. Quality show, but I feel there are nuances and gaps that the game (I haven't played it) would address more smoothly. I will get on with season 2.

I'm also on a rewatch of Bones (season 6). It's a comfort show for me and in some ways very progressive for its time.

Starlight Kid (c) v.s AZM (pronounced Azumi)
Wonder of Stardom Championship & leadership of the NEO GENESIS stable

Next defense, from the 5/21 Stardom show at Korakuen Hall with Starlight Kid (c) v.s HANAKO

Slight mismatch in size between the 4' 11" Kid and her 5' 11" challenger which also serves a bit of a fun test for the relative rookie's progression

Tonight I'm watching something about a gate...

Yesterday I watched Nonnas (Netflix), a movie based on the real story of a Staten Island Italian restaurant that operates with grandmas (the nonnas) as chefs and has a legendary cast: Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Brenda Vaccaro, Susan Sarandon, Linda Cardellini, and Vince Vaughn. It's a comforting/bittersweet movie that I watched with my mother, and I realize how strong the food connection can be across cultures.

We're going to watch some scenes on Youtube from the movie...usually people capture parts of the film and post it on Youtube for viewers that haven't seen the movie yet. It's a funny animated one though.

Yesterday I watched the first Final Destination movie. Would you believe I've never seen one of those? And it was just bad, I can't believe there is an ongoing franchise of it. Then again, Fast and Furious exists too.

Later I watched the latest episode of MasterChef Generations (the semifinal). If I've learned anything about cooking shows is that chicken breasts will doom you, and that they will cook salmon, lots of salmon (seriously someone cook other fish once in a while).

Not trying to change your mind or anything, but look back to when it came out. The Scream franchise was ongoing, Deep Impact and Armageddon had released a couple years earlier, Titanic was out, X-Men, Castaway, Mission Impossible 2, Pitch Black, Unbreakable. Lost of interesting flicks.
Final Destination was a new take on jump scare flicks. Pretty unique and different enough from similar horror comedy type movies.

I think the Rube Goldberg style death sequences are the main draw here and gained a loyal following until today (hopefully with better production values) My girlfriend just groaned: "Killing someone is way too complicated!"
