What are your computer specs? Thread.

ASUS ROG CG8480 that is starting to get modified with higher spec parts. Just removed the standard GTX 650 for more ooomph but pretty happy with the rest. Just got a few extra bits to do yet.

So, so far:
Motherboard:
ASUS P8Z77 M PRO

Processor:
Intel i5 3570K with 2 stage over clock up to 4.1 GHz

HDD:
1TB 7200rpm Toshiba Drive

GPU:
ASUS GTX 770 2GB DOC

PSU:
Corsair CX600M

RAM:
8GB DDR3

Case:
Republic Of Gamers CG8480 with OC lighting feature
2x Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition fans

Other:
T500RS
Triple Screen ASUS 24" @5760x1080
Sony HTSS1100 5.1 Surround Sound
Custom rig with Cobra Monaco bucket seat

Added a Sandisk Ultra 128GB SSD for my OS with games and files now sat on the HDD. Boot times noticeably quicker and pleased overall. Now going to wait for 250GB SSD to come down in price and have a dedicated SSD for Origin/Steam.

On that note, just got a few bargains from Steam, F1 2013, Fallout NV (favourite non racing game) modded .ini for surround with Fallout and it looks brilliant, far more immersion. Also keeping an eye on a reputable website dealing steam keys with a good reputation for future bargains.

Today's purchase has to be Watchdogs!

Hopefully you have more luck with Watch_Dogs than the majority of the PC community is having.

Does anyone here have 48GBs of RAM? There's this artist on Deviantart -> http://redjuice999.deviantart.com/journal/My-Equipments-236809231 who posted his PC specs and I choked up when I got to the RAM. How do you even use 48 GBs?!!

I have 32GB RAM in my Qosmio, only about a quarter of it gets used in any of the games I play or for editing I do on it so it's essentially bragging rights.

Couple of things to add/change here:

Peripherals

Mouse:
Logitech MX1100 G602
Headset/Headphones: Logitech H530 ClearChat (broken after the cord had a run-in with the vaccuum cleaner...still works though) G930 Wireless Gaming Headset, Sennheiser HD215 DJ Over-Ear headphones (exclusively for the drums now), SOL Republic Tracks HD deadmau5 Edition (casual listening)
Monitor: LG E2340V 23" Full HD LED backlit LCD monitor
Speakers: Yamaha YHT296 5.1 surround sound system with 600W amplifier
Instruments: Yamaha DTX450K electronic drum kit

I know this is technically not posting any computer specs but, now to go in addition with my custom built desktop, I have just ordered an Alienware 14 to take on the go with me.

Please be wary of the left hinge issue with those.

I was reading about that. It seems like it was more of an issue on the older 14x models. I have seen far less complaints with the new models. Or am I wrong.

Oh, it's still a problem for the R2, from what I see.

I just got a like notification on an old post in this thread so I thought hey, might as well bump it!

So right now I have my 2013 MacBook Air:
256GB SSD
4GB 1600MHz RAM
1.3GHz i5 of some sort (it's a dual core)

And the PC I built back in May that I designed to be easier to move and more energy efficient than my old ATX tower:

i5 4690k (still stock clock on the stock cooler, no need to OC yet)
ASUS Z97M Plus mATX motherboard
8GB 1600MHz RAM
ASUS Strix GTX 960 2GB
256GB Samsung 840 Evo
256GB Samsung 850 Evo
Corsair CS 450W semi-modular 80+ Gold PSU
Fractal Design Core 1300 case.
Oh and a pretty useless wifi card, a TP-Link TL-WN951N. Useless because using it will make the PC lock up very briefly when there's a lot of network I/O.

I want to add another SSD (512GB, probably) but I don't really need to yet so I'm holding off, I also want a new CPU cooler but I don't need that either. As much as I want to change the wifi card it'd be more sensible to wait until I get a new SSD, install Windows 10 fresh and get a more recent card to be sure the drivers support the OS.

The case is really good and I'd recommend it to anyone, it was only £35 and while the steel is very thin (which makes it light - good when you're not sure how long you'll be staying at your current flat) it's quiet and sturdy enough... I mean I might not stand on it like I did my old Mac Pro but it's very good for the money. It also has a 2.5" bay on the back of the motherboard tray, all cases should have that feature!

Currently:
Toshiba Satellite C55t-B
CPU:Intel Celeron N2830, 2.16 GHz
RAM: 4 GB @ fairly sure 1333 MHz
HDD:500 GB 5400 RPM
Graphics: integrated graphics
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
(And touchscreen)

Come tax season, replacing my laptop with:
CyberPowerPC Fangbook Edge S 4K
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700HQ 2.6 GHz
RAM: 16 GB @ 2133MHz
Graphics: GeForce GTX 970M 6GB
SSD: 500 GB Samsung 850 EVO
HDD: 2 TB 5400 RPM
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
(No touchscreen or internal optical drive, but whatevs.)

@SecretAgentZero I was just looking at CyberPowerPC's website this morning. It looks like they make some really quality stuff! I'm going to upgrade my Summer 2014 purchased Alienware 14 in October/September-ish. I'll be looking at the October 2016 releases of the Alienware 17, Asus ROG G753, CyberPowerPC Fangbook 5 and the Aorus X5 or X7.

Here's something interesting that I was messing around with this morning. For under $1200 you could make a less than 1ft cubed portable PC. Obviously this does not include a mouse, keyboard, or monitor. But if you're traveling a lot but still need a gaming system. And paying extra for a laptop is not an option, this may be your thing. Use a mouse and keyboard from your home setup, then use a monitor or tv from your hotel room, friends house, or whatever and you've got a portable desktop! My only concern is how much heat build up there would be inside this thing. That's a lot of power to pack into such a little package.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5 Ghz Quad Core
CPU Cooler: Intel BXTS15A CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus Z170I PRO GAMING Mini ITX LGA1151
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2666
Storage: Samsung 850 Evo-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX970 4GB FTW ACX 2.0
Case: Thermaltake Suppressor F1 Mini ITX
PSU: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX
OS: Windows 10 Home

Or for the same price you could get something even smaller 222 mm (Width) x 176 mm (Height) x 276 mm (Depth)...

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad Core
Motherboard: ASRock Z97E-ITX/ ac Mini ITX LGA1150
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
Storage: Samsung 850 Evo-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX970 4GB Supperclocked ACX2.0
Case: Silverstone SG06BB-450-USB3.0 Mini ITX w/ 450W Power Supply
OS: Windows 10 Home

Considering there would not be an optical drive on the computer. I would assume that I would have to pre-install windows from a different computer with an optical drive. Is this difficult? Or fairly easy.

No, that is not necessary.

You can create a windows 10 USB drive using the Microsoft MediaCreationTool on different computer, and then go into the machines bios and set it to boot from USB to start the windows installation.
