What car do you enjoy driving the most on Nur?

I won the Jag XJ13 a few weeks back and NEVER enjoyed driving Nur so much with ANY car-as i do using the Jag...that car was made for that track!

So which car do you enjoy driving round Nurburgring the most? (X1 doesn't count, that car is big-time $hitola IMHO)

I was also going to say the XJ13.

That car, in cockpit view, with surround sound cranked up, is absolutely orgasmic to drive.

The Lexus IS-F RC handles the best but isn't enjoyable to me. Currently I haven't found "the" car to truly enjoy the drive with. The best sofar no names Lexus is the Astra Super Touring Car.

Yea the xj13 gets it. A close second for me is the stock 82 audi quattro. If that thing was a premium I would never get anything done. I think mostly because I have a 86 coupe gt (fr version of the quattro) irl. You can just throw it around like a toy.

All in all the xj13 is just too sexy to ignore.

Fully tuned SambaBus. :D

Or ISF Racing Concept. Or a completely stock SLS AMG. There's some I've probably missed too. :D

Think there's been quite a few threads on this though...if I'm not mistaken anyway.

The Toyota Altezza touring car available for C34,xxx in the UCD is great right off the lot...I slapped on some racing softs and won the 4hr enduro with it.

The High Performance G37 was a pleasure to drive the Ring with too as is my favorite car the Suzuki GSX R/4.

the Audi R8 4.2 FSI R tronic '07 fully upgraded can do a 6:25 hot lap & a 6:10 with drafting. its my favorite car on the ring

Check my avatar.

The C63 AMG is not mega fast, but if you run it on the Schwartzwald B race @ the Ring, it's an absolute hoot to drive, mostly sideways.

Caterham Seven Fireblade, surprising how many cars it can pass,i think the PP is set a little to high though

My Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X. Favorite car to do courses on. Not drag though.
The cockpit view is my fav.
Handles like such a pro

I was enjoying the Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. Recently I created a highboy Camaro SS. It's a lot of fun to run around the ring sitting up so high.

PS. After a post from Yev, I ran a few laps in the Speed 12 on Sports Soft tires. It was more fun than it sounds.

For the lower performance points, like below 470, I've just discovered the Testa Roadster. It's a slow starter but once you're rolling the torque is amazing! No gear changes means uninterrupted acceleration, but sometimes it's a bit of guesswork to determine the ideal speed through certain corners (for instance if you're supposed to take a corner at third gear - there's no way of knowing in the Tesla, until you've tried). I add some ballast to the front to decrease oversteering (20 kg is usually enough).

For anything above 470 (up and above 600) my favourite right now is the Nissan GT-R Concept (Tokyo Auto Show) '01. 4WD, probably one of the quickest cars from a standstill start. Great handling and perfect balance. On the curvy parts of the ring it's a dream to drive. Not so fast on the straights though, you need someone to slipstream behind to keep up on the long straights. As with the Tesla I add some ballast to the front to reduce oversteering. Also, the headlights looks awesome at evening/night.

I love driving the Mark IV race car round there. Its the view that does it! The track is bumpy as well so you constantly feel on the limit. Just need the Ferrari now!

It changes a lot. But right now it's a stock '02 Mercedes SL55 AMG on comfort softs. I have no idea why, it just feels right. :dopey:

Currently its a Copen active top '02, fully modified. I'm trying to get under 8 minutes with it. Current best is 8:20.xxx.
After that who knows what it will be. I love the track as it has it all.

I love to drive the BMW M3 GTR RC and the High End Performance G37, handling is superb in both cars and they're also quite quick I think.

I add some ballast to the front to reduce oversteering.

For whatever it's worth, there are much more effective ways to make a car under steer more, that don't involve hindering it's performance with weight.

Mine has to be the Gran Turismo 350z. Not the fastest but it handles pretty good for a car under 500 HP. :dopey:

Corvette ZR1. All upgrades except Exhaust, Transmission, and on Sports Softs. I also enjoy driving it stock on occasion.

I haven't tried it yet cuz i havent had the time lately but what about the 69 gt40 (my second favorite car in real life)

I love driving the Mark IV race car round there.

Agree with this, though I usually take it out just for the sound. :D

Also another one is the Citroen GT Race Car. Very responsive handling so you can blitz through corners and stay on the track most of the time. :D

currently i'm saving for the Ferrari P4 and after that i'll start again for the Ford Mark IV Race Car to be used solely on Nurburgring...but at the rate these seasonals are coming it might take a couple years because i cant endlessly drive the same track-grinding for cash without getting bored out of my skull :grumpy:👎
