I have tried a few cars and I just cant win it. Ive won all other super events.
I tried, 787B, R92CP, LCC Rocket. Can nothing win?

I won just fine in the Pescarolo C60 Hybride. It all (for the most part) is a matter of strategy and consistency.

I used the sauber in the end. could have done it with 908 base model but came 2nd a few times. took me a few tries.

I like the Peugeot 908, it seems faster than the other lmp cars I own (just try fitting one with a mid-rpm turbo - the amount of torque it has will make your jaw drop) and you can pit every 3 laps. Most lmp cars require you to pit every 2nd lap.

Also don't listen to anyone telling you to use the rocket. It doesn't have to pit, but it just isn't fast enough for this to help it win.

908 is easy. Use racing soft, run 3 laps first and then pit every 2 laps afterwards.

If not for the insane chassis repair cost, I'd certainly do more 24 minutes of Le Mans since it is by far my favorite GT6 event. :indiff:

When I ran the LeMans for the first time, I ran the black Deltawing simply because it didn't get a proper chance when it raced there in 2012. It was a tricksy mistress to drive but it got me to the end with a sizeable lead.

Driving without headlights?

Balls of steel.
Well I turned the driving line on when the sun went down. I made a strategic pit near the end that paid off and I got in first place on the last lap.

If I hand't won that time I would have probably bought a peugeot.

I didn't use racing soft but racing hards. Pretty difficult to control with all aids off. With the sauber I had to set the TC to 3 not to spin out every corner :)

is the 908 the best car to do it with if it is ill get one the lm cars I currently have are audi r10 stealth audi r15 787b stealth sauber merc c9 and both delta wings

That is one of my fav cars, in the game and in real life. I just started it, trying with the R18, but she snappin gon me bad under braking:banghead:

I too used the R8 for this event. Took a few goes to get the pitting sequences right, but won in the end. Good event, challenging without being near impossible.

just a shame isnt for full 24hrs.

I won it easily with the Minolta, C60 Hybrid, Sauber, 787B, Peugeot 905, Audi R8, and Bentley Speed 8. The only one I tried and didn't win with was the Deltawing. The 905 was the best, I did 8 laps vs 7 laps with all the others.

8 laps? Nice!

I've gotta try that. :D

People who used the 908, Did you upgrade the turbo or leave it stock? I'm wondering how how much of an impact that has on fuel economy.

I take that back, I don't think it can do 8. For some reason I remember it doing 8 laps but the best I can do at the moment is 7 laps in 24:55. Maybe that was before a patch, or I accidentally had SRF on or a turbo upgrade or something.

I don't see how the repair costs really add up. I did the race onces and only put 60 miles on the car. you could do the race several times and earn over 500k a race. The repair cost is 500k so you're still making a profit.

Yeah, but $500k is a lot for me.

I've been doing the 24 minutes of Nurburgring with my ZZII because it is so cheap to do any repairs.

I guess I'm just cheap. :boggled:

I understand, my point was just that you will make several million so 500k isn't much. gotta spend money to make money. :P

I don't get what you guys mean by 'repairs'. Are you talking about restoring body rigidity and such? Or have I completely missed a damage feature in GT6?

I have overused my Deltawing - max the aero, RS on rears, RH on the front...very planted for an easy 3.40 lap and one splash and dash near the end. (Just make sure you change the petrol input to 25 otherwise it will default you up to a full tank!!)

You need to make it into the 7th lap before 24 minutes, I found the Deltawing and R18 too slow. Sauber was quick but tricky with the pits. My choice was the Pescarolo Judd C60, could do low 3:30s, so even stopping every 2 laps was OK. Take only 35 litres on last stop. Now those are done will go back and do the bleeping gokart races.
