I just won with the peugot 905 evo with the praiano tune ..
I now own just about every car recommended in the various threads regarding this event though..

I started with racing softs (although I could have got away with hards the car handles so well) pitted on the second lap went out on softs then again on lap 4 but opted for hards then pitted on lap six for a splash and dash (about 35 litres) overtook the leader and never looked back..

Personally I used the 2J, no headlights but makes up by being an awesome car. 👍

I had enough stress wirhout lack of lights..

I nearly bought that too.. i'd have been well chuffed... not !..

I used the Audi R18 TDI '11 with all Settings stock bar the Racing Soft tyres. I stopped at the end of L4 and went on to win by 25s or so. I was dropped pretty quickly by some of the insanely fast Group C cars but once I arrived at the Porsche Curves I made up big ground as the R18 is amazing through the corners.

I will certainly repeat this event with other cars as I love Circuit de la Sarthe especially in 2013 guise.

I used my Nissan R390 Road Car '98 for the Nurburgring race. I was close to finishing, but my tires became frozen on lap 3 at the Karussel turn. I was finally beaten by the F1 GTR Race Car at the Esbach. Turns out I made a poor choice to go with the Intermediate tires...

Used the Formula GT with 200 kg ballast and power limited to 750PP, pitted twice, won easily. Watch out, no headlights either.

DeltaWing.

Fine. Nothing to do with Le Mans.

Same here. Pretty much had a easy race from that first stop onwards. Will likely do the race again with the Peugeot 908 and see how it compares with the new physics as I found it far more nimble the R10 in in GT5 and want to see if its the same story on GT6.

I did all the enduro events like that (Nur,Spa,Silverstone,Lemans) in a detuned Red Bull X2014 Junior, easy wins. What you need tires wise, Racing Softs(recomended), Racing Intermediates(recomended) and Racing Wets.

Le Mans? just like the Rocket I found the Jr. severely underpowered for that track and its long straights. Detuned, too??

You're topping out at 175mph (280kph) when opponents are near/over 250 (400kph), not so many slower sections to make up that lost time.

250 and over? What AI have you got? :odd:

I bought the Bentley Speed 8 '08 yesterday evening and tried the 24m of Le Mans. Racing Softs with stops at the end of L3 and L6 gave me an easy victory by 20s or so. Really like the Bentley, although the Audi R18 is still my favourite car in GT6, but at Porsche Curves it understeers whereas the Audi slices through.

I did this as well, super hard IMO, the no-headlight thing is a killer.

I used the Toyota Minolta, starting with RS tires to get ahead of everyone, then switched to RH tires and easily won.

what about doing that to the x2014 standard that would be better because it has headlights

Would increasing the display brightness setting provide a useful workaround to the no-headlight issue?

Yes, and no. You can do everything you like, but you still can't get it comfortable. +10 + 100% brightness on your TV + pitch black room and it still wasn't great on mine. It's a bad play anyway, the F1 car is a joke on this track, the Minolta owns its soul.

I used the 787B. Started on RS, and switched to RH because of the tire wear glitch. Pitted again and used softs to take the win.

There was a period when using the Jr. turned all races into a one-make race. The Jr. with racing soft tires would experience no tire wear as long as there was moisture on the track, yet it stuck like gorilla snot. You could race full throttle in the wet without slipping, and you used no fuel. No pits necessary. Yet the competition kept pitting.

Unfortunately, I did not discover this until I won the events with legitimate cars. I used the Jr. to grind the S events until I discovered the lucrative RB Standard championship.
