Based on what I've read, I'd say to go with the Petronas Tom's SC430 and some skillful driving. If you think you can handle it, go with one of the NSXes. If handling is really important, the Xanavi Z will work well.

if you find the races too easy, use an equal or slightly under powered cars and try using a harder compound of tyres. simple.

1st time, Toms Supra with oil change and chassis tuning.(never did get the car right for me got the win).
2nd time with 350 Z concept LM with oil change and chassis tuning.(too much power, made event win easy).
3rd time 350z Motul with oil change and chassis tuning, great car, great race.

next will be with the RX-8LM with oil change and chassis tuning.

I used the base Xanavi Nismo Z (level 21, $950,000) with medium racing tires, it can keep up with the NSX's that seem to dominate the race, not much margin for error though

I use the Xanavi too... its my fave of the GTR Super GT cars.

I used the FTO Super Touring Car for the Super GT races. It has less power than the GT500 machines, but it handles better. Makes for some reasonably-competitive racing.

Is it me or can you NOT use the Nomad Diablo for this series? I was under the impression it competed in the JGTC...

Yeah I don't understand why it can't be used in the event, after all it is a JGTC car.

Since I wasn't able to use the Lambo, I used the Epson NSX. (Stock, Oil change only)

I used '97 Tom's Supra, which was the prize car from the same championship in B-spec. 0 miles, everything stock, no oil change, won Suzuka by less than 10 seconds and Fuji by 1 or 2 seconds. Did an oil change for the Tokyo race and won by less than 1 second. The car was underpowered, and there wasn't much room for error.

I used a fully upgraded GT-R SpecV and it was far too easy. However the races are long so you'll probably want the best car for these races to get them over with. So from best to worst...

1. Red Bull X2010 models
2. Formula Gran Turismo
3. Nissan R92CP Race Car '92
4. Toyota MINOLTA 88C-V Race Car '89
5. Toyota GT-ONE Race Car '99
6. Mazda 787B Race Car '91
7. Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car '98
8. Nissan R89C Race Car '89
9. Suzuki ESCUDO Dirt Trial '98
10. Toyota 7 Race Car '70

I'm not sure if I missed anything.
