If anyone who's sharing their R390 can add me for 1 day i'd very much appreciate it. My PSN is BRM-V16. I'll give you a 21, 22, or 23 ticket for the trouble.

Edit: Nevermind, the NSX-R LM road car just popped up in my UCD

Those who suggested the McLaren F1 were a huge help, thank you. I could not get faster than Silver with any car in my garage until the F1 was suggested. I appreciate the information from those who shared and would recommend the F1 to those who have not yet Gold'ed the challenge.

Ridiculously easy in the R390. Even with a swag tune I threw at it that was REALLY loose I slid my way to a 52 the second lap. First lap I kissed the wall.

Used the maclaren f1. Add some HP and balast. No suspension or aero. Managed gold on first lap. Just brake early enough for corners.

First time trying out the time trials - how come whatever car I use (within regulations) maxes out near 80 mph ? I've tried 350z and many others.

You know cars have more than one gear, do you? Sounds a lot like you're stuck in first gear...

And no, you don't need the R390 for this event.

Cheers CasadoGT. Nice to know someones listening.

Only managed silver with a McLaren @ 685bhp and no mods other than hp stuff. Anyone care to share how their cars are setup to get gold?

You owe me a new keyboard and a fresh cup of coffee ... :trouble:

What he said

same here, i did not really want to spend Cr. 2M to win Cr. 1 M, I' rather come out at 0 :) did it on the 3rd lap without aids, no tuning except to fit restrictions.

FYI for those who are using a 458: the Scuderia was half a second faster at least, way faster in the corners. But probably irrelevant :)

I have my moments :)

I managed to Gold it by a massive 3 hundredths on my 1st go

Almost there with a Ford GT'06 after some tuning (55.5xx or so). Think I could probably do it with more radical tunes and more practise but will just go with the Citreon by GT Concept when I get home tonight.

To be honest I'm loving the Time Trials at the moment.

I did it with a VW Nardo at 600pp.

Got it after third try. First few tries were to see how far the car would slide towards the wall. But it's pretty easy with the NSX R Prototype LM Roadcar

52.8 and 51.617 with a DS3.
Didn't really tune the car just a few settings to test the car and it was enough for gold.

Bought turbo3
Full downforce
Transmission 350 km/h
LSD default
Brakes default, who needs brakes

Suspension
height f-19 / r-16
spring 15.6 / 18.5 (default)
damper ext 7 / 7
damper com 7 / 7
rollbar 4 / 4
Camber 2.5 / 1.5
Toe -0.10 / -0.18

Bro..do you still need the car? I can add you and you don't need to give me anything in return. I am work at the moment and won't be logging on for another 5hrs if you can wait till then. Let me know.

[Edit: To clarify, I golded a while ago, now I'm trying to move up in the rankings! :) ]

Need some setup help.

I'm in the high 49s with the R390 but can't seem to find a setup that will turn in without spinning at corner exit. Actually, nothing seems to affect the car's handling other than toe and downforce. I've gone to the extremes of spring/swaybar/damper/ride-heights, even switching back and forth (from full soft/low front with full stiff/high rear, to full stiff/high front with full soft/low rear). Car feels the same either way!

Also -- even with standard aero I was finding I couldn't use all the rear downforce without terminal understeer and excessive drag. Max front and 55-60 rear seemed like the sweet spot. But then I saw the top guys are using the GTAuto rear wing kit, so I added that. All it seems to do is increase max rear downforce from 65 to 80, and I tried it, but sure enough it was back to terminal understeer and drag -- setting rear at 55-60 still seems like the sweet spot.

Sigh. Guess I'm venting a little. ;)

Anyway, anybody got any tips? 👍

I did it in 05 Ford GT NoStripe and golded.

I hadn't bothered with those GT time trials.... I thought you had to sign up to PD to enter!! Where did I get that from???

Anyway, what an easy way to earn a Million!! Say with an in-lap and gold on your first, that's a million in less than two minutes!!!

I got 54.4 something.... using that 390 road car. What top speed are people setting in the transmission?

Oh... I didn't actually do it in two laps! Took me about 10, after I'd had lots of goes mucking about with tuning!

I think I managed it by about 3 tenths. I must an amazing driver:) (Thats sarcasm for those who might want to take issue)

Just for fun, I tried the Audi Quattro Le Mans 4WD... that is definitely a contender! Has the engine and speed.... but couldn't manage to get a valid lap. Any tunes for improving its ability to corner (it likes to swing wide, throttle only makes it worse)?

Glad i checked on here, ive had the nsx lm sitting in my garage untounched for like 2 weeks and just won 1M credits from it.. paid for it self and some lol

finnaly done it:)
i'v tried few cars
enzo 55:8..
viper acr 55:3.. <-- could go a bit faster but always made a little mistake.
gallardo this one could only touch the bronze prize!:)
but did it in Cadillac CIEN 54:3..
job done:)

For those who don't want to spend a lot:

I did it with a Murcielago LP 670-4 SV @ 54:6X with full tune weighing in at 1268kg with 680hp tuned top speed to 190ish. Just remember to brake early and tap gas as you exit, the car will slide a bit.

Used a stock McLaren F1 '94 w/ sports softs and golded with a time of 54:955.

Originally used LFA, but it was too bad around the corners.

Still can't get out of the 49's. :( That's over 2 SECONDS off the pace. I've DL'd a couple replays of the top 10 guys but there's no setup info available... All it shows is they're fast -- damn fast. They never need to brake or shift, just a lift into T1 and T3, and only a partial "breathe" into T2 and T4.

Interestingly, the top 7 (!) spots are all French drivers. A cabal of kids with too much time on their hands this summer? ;)

On the upside, as of this morning I'm 107th out of, what would you say, 20,000? 50,000? Anyway I'm well into the 99th %ile. And for now that's in the top 10 (#9) of the U.S. drivers. :)

I think I'll quit while I still have my sanity.

i did it with the Lambo SV - but it was a bit hard work to get gold
