I have been having no luck at all, with this. I use both of my 1 million race cars both of them are being left in the dust any suggestions on what I should do?

Well i used my Nissan R92CP race car, with a turbo kit and super hard rears and hard fronts, used B-spec and kept it on about 3-4.

Becuase of that tyre set up you don't have to pit (usually) which gives you a big advantage!

I used the Audi R8... great car!!:dopey:
if you race the DTM series 6 or 7 times and sells the CLK-GTR you can buy any of the realy fast LMP cars... just a small tip for fast money :sly:...

edit: and you dont need to change anything on the car... it would make it too easy...

Vast amounts of Credits are NOT necessary This Ride: TOYOYTA 88C-V Race Car (MINOLTA) '89 "AS WON" here: El Captain 200 Miles except for a tyre change will absolutely "Toast" this Series. Good Tyre Selection & Pit Strategy is all you need. NOT overwhelming amounts of HP or Formula GT Rides! 👎...O.G. :D

Sureshot
Minolta and im spending most of wednesday playing it
Good Man!!! 👍 I screwed up my Tyre Selection at Hong Kong the first time thru (IMHO the only REAL Challenge in the Series) & finished 4th. Went back & Golded it easily with a different Tyre & Pit Strategy. I think I've still got it written down if you think you might need it...O.G. :D

I agree with ya. That car will win most races, if not all, hands down. What a beast of a car :P

I entered this race the first time w/ my Z Concept LM and got smoked by the Minolta, R92, etc.

So I go and do the 24 hours at the 'ring and get an F1 car for a little revenge, but all the competition is gone! I was up against a Chapparel 2D, Mclaren F1 and some Pascarello's.

If you manage to start against those cars the race shouldn't be any problem 👍

I agree. Won 7 of the 10 by wide margins. Other three were because I didn't know the track well enough. (Hong Kong, Opera and can't remember the 3rd). Tires are important as you can't afford more than 1 pit stop, zero if possible. Only trouble with that is a couple laps at the start with blue tires will put you back several seconds on the leaders. But once the tires get green you can make it back up.

I agree with the Minolta! You don't have to increase power at all, as believe it or not it will out run the rest. The only AI car that gave me grief was the Sauber on Sareth "spelling" last track. If you want to you can put the big turbo on it for the longer faster tracks like Fuji but I had no problems at all. On "I think hong kong" I lapped 3rd place and nearly lapped 2nd. One more lap and I would have.

The Minolta is just plain and simply one brutally quick and stable car. Only at very high speeds, over 340kph on Sareth on the bumpy narrow sections, does it seem nervous. I was able to reduce this with backing off the front down force, soften the front suspension a bit.

Pit stragity is the go though. On most courses you will need to pit once. If you take medium fronts and super hard rears, and are able to make it so you have 3 laps left before you pit, you can go to soft front and medium to hard rears for the final couple of laps. Don't take any fuel on as you don't need it. The AI cars all pit once so plan your stragity to suit. Also QUALIFY, QUALIFY, QUALIFY ! Get that #1 grid position, it makes life sooooo much easier.

I used a R89C(med fronts, hard rears, one pit stop) to win the whole thing, 40+ sec ahead in each race... I was faster without the turbo than with it because it was easier to drive.

Re-Read Post #6, right up the Page...O.G. :D

I used the Mazda 787 with RM/RH tires and a turbo upgrade. Some races I don't pit at all and others I out-accelerate the competition out of the corners enough to make up the difference.

I will try this race tommorow, should i use hard/super hard or medium/super hard? My b-sped driver sucks..he usually comes in around 4th place in those races...(with the Minolta) I'll try the Nissan R92CP

I've won the first couple of races so far using the Bently race car with no mods, easy. However, I find I need to use a harder compound tyre on the rear or else I get dorked in the last 2 laps.
