Whoever pays PD the most. Likely Nissan!

Carbon Fiber Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT and a Matte Black Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Jota with a Ferrari F50 GT and a Ferrari 550 GT in the background.

Or a Nissan R390 1997 Roadcar with a Toyota GT-ONE Roadcar on Route X.

The new c7 corvette in red, or a classic Ferrari imagine a classic Ferrari in black or red in dimmed light on the cover!!!

The jetsons vehicle, considering gt6's release date.

Best wish: the latest most expensive new Porsche.
Realistically: gt-r or whatever nissan is into, mass market or in motorsports. It's obvious.

A close-up detail of something old and beautiful, such as:

Ferrari Dino 246 GTS

Aston Martin DB5

Seriously, that would be the best. Really! 👍

PletdeKoe
A Ford Transit

Why not?

That would be great. Classics always add charisma, culture, and history.

I think a good looking car like a mazda furai

Porsche 911.

Mazda furai would be good or would also like to see the RX-8 or s2000

Isn't it a car that Kaz has recently owned or owns? The GT-R for GT5P, the ZR-1 for GT PSP and the SLS for GT5. So what car could Kaz own now. LaFerrari is too hyper and doesn't really fit the GT image. The new Vette has already been introduced to the GT Series so i think we can scratch that. The new Viper has been used in a lot of Forza material so thats gone.

The most realistic guess I think would be the new Honda NSX. It fits the timing and the car itself is perfect for a GT game, it's japanese and will leave a big footprint in its path.

I was thinking the new nsx too but I feel like it being a kers hybrid might hold it back

I don't see why being a hybrid could have a detrimental impact on it being on the box art. It is a sportscar no matter what way you look at it.

LaFerrari is a hybrid too and I cannot imagine PD would overlook it based on that. Besides, more performance cars will go down this route as it is seen as the best way of boosting performance while reducing environmental impact.

It'll be a nissan no matter what we say

Yeah gran turismo make all the computers for the nissan GTR. Gran turismo are linked with nissan so probably a fairlady or skyline.

Trawling through some old threads I found this and thought wow - here we have a great contender for the inside sleeve or manual/booklet.

I like that cover art. I would rather something like that be shown instead of some unimaginative, dull shot of a new car.

A GT40, one of the mascots of GT since Gran Turismo 3.

You know, until a few months ago, I always thought the Ford GT was on the cover of GT5. Until I saw a rerun of Top Gear in which Clarkson opened the doors of his GT. Then I realised that the GT doesn't have Gullwing doors... major eureka moment

A random premium RUF. Everybody will think it's a real Porsche and buy the game.

I personally don't think having Porsches in GT beside of RUFs would increase sales by a noteworthy number though.

On that, dr_slump, I'm not sure. If people were sensible like you and me, I'd agree with you. But there seems to be an emotional attachment to the name Porsche which is substantial. Just consider the number of people here asking for them, I've done it myself just for the sake of the name attraction.

My attempt at a GT6 cover:

lol thanks, but credit goes to this guy for the original image.

That's kinda something I'd like to see on the box art of GT6 though. A close-up image of a beautiful car, much like the RUF/Porsche headlight detail of the PAL version of GT3. I was pretty disappointed with the artwork of GT5... And GT4 actually.

Because PD is heavily biased towards the Japanese automotive industry (just look at the ratio of Japanese cars and cars from other countries in GT5) my guess is if there is indeed a cover car, it will be most likely Japanese and most likely a Nissan. Although the Mazda 787B would be very appropriate too being the first Japanese car to ever win Le Mans.

Realistically though, I think there is a chance the cover will be a bit abstract like the examples in the last few posts of a racing track, tachometer, wheel of a car, etc.
